Furnished mother-in-law (1000 sqft) on riverfront acreage and active farm available in Downeast Maine for short or longer term rent (October - May). This apartment has incredible views of the Narraguagas river. The space is well suited for mature couples, single couples with mature children and/or or two couples and friend groups who are comfortable sharing space.
Note: The house, property and area is best for active mature individuals who do not need accessibility features. There aren't any stairs in the mother-in-law but the there are no safety grips in the bathroom and towel racks can't be used as an assist. The rental and grounds are challenging to navigate for those who have difficulty moving from a sitting to a standing position. The indoor pool has handrails but getting in and out of it and the hot tub requires relatively good balance. While path are mowed around the property, it is hilly and the paths are grass. The driveway and parking area are asphalt.
There is one queen bed and a twin sofa bed and numerous queen and twin blow up mattresses of good quality. This space is large and has a open floor plan, making it somewhat unique in terms of sleeping more than one couple if a separate bedroom is desired for others. The space has a galley style kitchen with no stove or oven but it does have a 2 burner hotplate, a crockpot, a large toaster oven (you can bake bread in that thing), a fancy microwave that acts like a convection oven, a blender and various other kitchen items. The fridge is an apartment size fridge with one door and a freezer and there is a small fridge for drinks below the kitchen counter as well.

This is an outdoor lovers paradise. Launch your kayak from the property onto the river. Bird watch year round (May - August is particularly active as owner leaves fields partially untouched to allow endangered migratory ground nesters to safely complete their breeding season). Bald eagle, owl, hawk and forest dwelling birds nest on/near property and are present year round. Head north toward Canada for great whale watching all summer.
