It was a great weekend get away for the family to rejuvenate. The place was clean and very nice. It was everything we were looking for! Kinda loved the bunk beds.
Ric was a wonderful host and the cabin was a perfect getaway. The checkin process was seamless and the cabin was very clean. The location is perfect for some privacy yet close to the winery and brewery. We highly recommend this cabin!
We had such a good time at this property! We had 2 families of 4 (4 kids under 5) and it was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone. Ric was an excellent host and updated us about the property ahead of our scheduled booking (there had been an ice storm). I really appreciated the transparency. Would highly recommend!
6 adults met for a relaxing weekend. The cabin was very clean. It was 53 degrees in the cabin when we arrived. The owner responded quickly to adjust the thermostat remotely. It was set for 69, but it wasn’t keeping up. Eventually, it rose to 69 and all was good. We didn’t cook in the cabin. We went out to eat. There’s not much close by so be prepared. It was a quick drive to French lick. The mattresses were firm and I noticed there were a lot of outlets. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I wish we had a chance to use the fire pit.
This was the best place to stay for our girls trip of 10! Beautiful, quiet, serene. Ric was very easy to work with and helped navigate the check in and out process. Was also very readily available during our trip! Great place!
A group of guy friends stayed here near Patoka lake so we could rent a boat. The cabin is very close to the marina. This cabin was stocked with just about everything we needed so that was really refreshing. The air conditioning and all appliances worked flawlessly. It was obvious the owner took pride in the property. There are multiple cabins in the area but there is enough woods that it still felt secluded. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Our family stayed at this cabin for the Holiday weekend. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed.
There was plenty of room for all of us. Great location!
Close to the winery, brewery and lake. We would definitely stay here again.
Three generations gathered at Ric’s home for a short getaway. The location was beautiful and close to Patoka State Park, a true gem. We enjoyed coffee on the screened-in porch in the morning, and relaxed in the hot tub after each day’s activities. There was plenty of room for the six of us, and Ric was very helpful and easy to communicate with every step of the way.
Overall great cabin and amenities. Loved the fire pit. Is was great having a washer and dryer but dryer ruined a couple clothing as they kept getting caught in edge seal. Sounds like bearings going out. Also, there were only two trash bags for our whole stay. Could have been an oversight. We didn’t realize the driveway was steep until we received instructions right before our stay. Would be good to mention in property description in case the people booking have a boat. Loved that it was a few min. away from park to launch boat. Enjoyed the winery and brewery also, which were close.
We had a wonderful time enjoying staying in the country, seeing all of the wild life, and doing fun activities at the cabin and in the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.
The only problem is controlling the temperature in the cabin. The thermostat would reset to an uncomfortable high temperature after 2 hours. We would wake up sweaty and have to reset the thermostat.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Had room for everyone. Had everything you need to cook and more! They even have a Whirley Pop to make stovetop popcorn (next time we will bring popcorn kernels to enjoy that!).
We loved our stay in this cabin. It was very comfortable and the listing was accurate. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Would love to return sometime!
We had a great stay here! The kids loved roasting marshmallows every night on the fire! Loved the hot tub! We had a great time with family and there was plenty of room for all of us!! It is also close to all attractions! Would definitely recommend!
We enjoyed our stay last year so much that we visited this cabin again. Very nice property, with a quiet and nice neighborhood. The trailhead for the hiking trails near Patoka lake is only 10 minutes driving. I highly recommend doing those trails, passing by the Totem rock, it is a nice scenery.
6 adults met for Thanksgiving weekend in a neutral spot. The cabin was perfect- exactly as listed and we liked it so much we wish it were our own!
The younger adults enjoyed the hot tub and the board games. Thanks for a great stay!
I've lived in Southern Indiana for most of my adult life. I went to college at Indiana University in Bloomington and now I live on the Indiana side of Louisville. In addition to the lake, my grandchildren love playing in the woods around our cabin and going on the cave tours in our area. I enjoy taking my kayak on quite lake coves and down the Blue River at Milltown. I have been a host for more than 15 years, first in Florida and now back home in Indiana.
Why they chose this property
All the homes in our neighborhood are log cabins built on heavily wooded lots of one acre or more. The setting is private and peaceful, a perfect spot to get away from the bustle of everyday life.
What makes this property unique
TokaTime is a real log cabin in the woods.
