Our new all-vegetarian home is situated in the green hills of Appalachia in a peaceful, quiet, spiritual, intentional community. The nearby Krishna temple offers a delicious complimentary breakfast and lunch for everybody. The famous Prabhupada's Palace of Gold, with its beautiful rose garden and exceptional landscape, is a 2 min drive away. An impressive water park, golf course, and zip line park are only 15 minutes away.
We are situated in New Vrindaban, a peaceful place in the rolling hills of West Virginia. The Palace of Gold, a famous tourist attraction, a vegetarian restaurant and snack bar, a Krishna temple, three lakes with swans, peacocks, cows, and hiking trails nearby.

Arthi and Josef are Bhakti practitioners and offer their two brand-new apartments for rent to visitors and pilgrims of New Vrindaban. They are committed to sustainability practices and are eager to share the beauty of the retreat community they live in with others.
Why they chose this property
Our home Giriraj Ashraya is in the heart of the Appalachia which has a diverse topography with long broad ridges, steep slopes, deep gorges, and wide intermountain valleys. Although our home is brand new, and our landscape is at the beginning stages, the broad range of microhabitats and numerous relict species and communities are highly interesting to observe. Cardinals, bluejays, hummingbirds, and many more species are seen every morning and at night, the bare, yet thriving landscape is alive with fireflies.
What makes this property unique
Living in an intentional community where the surrounding land is filled with peacocks, swans, lotuses, and gorgeous landscapes makes one feel like you live in the backyard of a botanical garden! The apartments are brand new--having just been completed a few months ago. We host a full kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, toaster, and basic amenities. You might even find some surprises left for you on the kitchen table.
