Beautiful lakefront 'Chalet Style' Cabin located in picturesque Cedarville situated in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Located a few minutes walk from downtown Cedarville, where you can find a grocery store, banks, restaurants, pizza parlour, bars, shops, an ice cream parlour, a park, antiques and museums. This house is positioned perfectly for views of the July 4th parade which starts right on this street!
This property boasts large grounds, great for families. A large deck overlooking scenic Cedarville bay, ideal for taking in the view, relaxing or having a BBQ. There is also a lakeside firepit, perfect for a relaxing evening around a fire or watching the July 4th fireworks!.
This property boasts 3 bedrooms and a raised landing area accomodating a pull out sofa bed which sleeps two more people.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, 2 bathrooms, a living area with views of the lake.
The game room is situated in the basement area and includes a pool table, dart board and even a home gym. There is also an eliptical machine located in bedroom 1 so there is always something to do, even on rainy days! Wi-Fi is also provided along with Dish 200 television programming.


***Please note that to enter the cabin, there are 10 steps to both entrances. Elderly guests and small children may have some difficulty.

UP Vacation

This is the third time we have stayed at this location and love the place. How ever we probably won't be back until after my wife has her hip replacement since she can't negotiate the stairs to enter the house or the bedroom we like to use on the second floor. That bedroom has the best and largest bed. Love watching the boats come in and out and the variety of birs in and around the lake front.

Beautiful home, very clean and well stocked. Only one caution...water depths at the dock were too shallow (a couple of feet) to get our boat in. Would have appreciated it if listing had said something to this effect. We had to get a slip at a marina and drive back & forth

Another stellar stay at the A-frame!

This is our second stay at the A-Frame and it won't be our last. A short walk into Cedarville (shops, café, bar/restaurants, etc.), dock and fire pit for outdoor R&R, and a stunning view is everything you need for a stellar vacation. The landlord, Laura, is responsive to questions and provides clear and concise check in and check out instructions.

It would have been great IF the beds were updated as they were very uncomfortable (felt like they were brought in old in 1984) Also pots & pans needed to be replaced. We did enjoy the lake area very much & living room was nice!

What an amazing stay we had here. I hesitate to give the glowing review it deserves because I would like to keep it a secret for our family. Host was very responsive. Place is well-equipped. Perfect spot on the bay. We ate at many local establishments. Here is our list starting with the best: Les Cheneaux Culinary Institute Ang-Gios Wicked Sister (in Sault Ste. Marie) Cattail Cove Les Cheneaux Distillers We didn't eat at Snows but had a drink and enjoyed the music on Friday night.

The lakefront cabin of Cedarville was the perfect place for us to stay. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Check-in and out were easy. We had all the conveniences of home. Everything was clean and tidy. We could walk into town easily. Honestly, I wish we wouldn't have had such a busy itinerary, because we didn't get to spend enough time there. It was a great location to drive to the Detour area, Kichikipiti, Soo, and Mackinac Island. We would love to go back!

Very clean, spacious cabin in a secluded small town. We loved being able to walk or drive over to the local coffee roasters in the morning. Close to great hiking. It was perfect for our crew of 4 boys, and we really appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The owner was very responsive. We had a great experience!

Short Get Away

My father-in-law built this vacation home in 1984 and it has been used by the family year round ever since.

We recently moved out of state to Florida for work and so we aren't able to use the house as much as we'd like to. So we decided to open up the house for vacation rentals.
The house is of great sentimental value to us and we hope you enjoy staying there as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Our house is clean and cozy. It has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.
You can explore Les Cheneaux and all it's secluded bays and beaches. One of our favorites is Government Island bay where the beach is sandy and the water is crystal clear, perfect for swimming.

After a day of exploring, you can grill out on the deck, relax & then later enjoy the firepit and toast some s'mores. Enjoy the clear night sky and look for shooting stars.

The property is located within minutes walk to downtown Cedarville with all it's amenities but positioned in a large, peaceful lot on the lake with great views.
The location is ideal for drives out to St.Ignace, Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls and the boat to Drummond Island.

It really is the perfect getaway. We love it and hope you do too!
