About this property
Gracious home in Selborne hamlet of Serenbe for monthly stays
Located on a quiet, tree-lined street in Serenbe, close to the dog park and recreational fields/tennis/pickleball courts, our 3-story townhouse offers all the amenities for year-round comfortable living. Open kitchen, dining, seating area offers easy living space. Beautiful living room with 10 foot-high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows with a fireplace provides a gracious yet cozy gathering spot.
Two porches provide additional enjoyment of nature - take your cup of coffee and listen to the birds from the porch off the kitchen, or head back to the porch off the master bedroom to relax on Adirondack loungers - they are wonderful spots for evening reading and your glass of wine or cup of tea.
Stroll down the block to have a glass of wine or dinner at The Hill, one of Serenbe's acclaimed restaurants, or go a few steps further for casual coffee and avocado toast at The Daisy. Start your Saturday morning on a walk (miles of trails abound) or a game of pickleball, then enjoy the Farmer's Market, also a stone's throw away.
The other two hamlets - the Grange and Mado - are just minutes away by foot -- restaurants, book store, a juice bar, pilates studio, spa and more.
Wherever you go, there will be friendly people of all ages in this "intentional community" - families with small children, professionals, and retired people, many of whom share a similar passion for nature, the arts, health and wellness and the environment.

About the host
Hosted by Sara Johns Griffen

I am originally from New York City, but spent a good amount of my life in the Hudson valley of New York, raising our 2 children. We now divide our time between Florida and Serenbe. When we had a home in Hudson, NY, we rented it out on VRBO for about 8 years and received 5 star ratings each year. We hope to hear that same level of satisfaction with our current home. We very much believe in the "sharing economy" and would love our guests to enjoy our home as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
Nature, health, the arts, sense of community, great restaurants…all within walking distance. The Hill restaurant is just down the street from us, and the Blue Eyed Daisy is about a 2 minute walk - perfect for coffee in the morning and delicious egg sandwiches or avocado toast. Lunches are great there too - a very "neighborhood" oriented place. There are gift shops and a wine store nearby too.
Every day, we either walk around the miles of wooded trails or we go to the tennis/pickleball courts to get some exercise. Everything is easy, and the neighbors couldn't be friendlier.

What makes this property unique
Our home is filled with art, primarily by my father who was an established painter in the realms of abstraction and realism. With the high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, and whitewashed floors, it has an airy, uncluttered feeling to it. People call it gracious and peaceful.
The kitchen/dining area works out really well because people can chat while dinner is being made, or enjoy a game on the TV, and then sit down to eat. It has a casual feel, and yet when the candles on on and the lights go out, it feels perfectly elegant.
