little mountain a-frame: a cozy, quiet retreat w/ hot tub - pet friendly!
Welcome to Little Mountain A-Frame!
Our cabin is 1350 sq ft, two bedroom/two bathroom, with a full kitchen, spacious living area, relaxing outdoor spaces, and specifically designed to allow you to unplug. Set on seven acres of woods, there's privacy and seclusion without losing the benefit of being only ten minutes from Old Fort where you'll find breweries, a winery, restaurants, shops, a grocery store, and trails!
We have over 100 five star reviews elsewhere - come see why!
Visit our IG @littlemountainaframe for a cabin tour, photos, videos, and more.
ABOUT OUR CABIN:
It was custom designed by us and built by Painted Buckeye Builders from 2022-2023.
We wanted to create a special place where you could escape from the world for a few days of quiet relaxation - both for us to use and to be able to share that experience with others.
With this in mind, we purposely chose not to have a TV.
What we do provide is a peaceful, quiet space set on almost 7 acres, where you can unwind with books, board games, and puzzles; relax in our cedar hot tub; set the vibe with our vinyl record player; enjoy connecting in our comfortable conversation areas; or dive into a book in one of our cozy reading nooks.
- PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS:
⧍ Two Bedrooms with memory foam queen size beds - one upstairs, one downstairs.
⧍ Two bathrooms with floor to ceiling tiled walk in showers - one upstairs, one downstairs.
⧍ Fully functioning kitchen - stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, dinnerware, and different types of glassware.
⧍ We provide locally roasted coffee as well as a pour over and drip coffee makers.
⧍ Soaking cedar hot tub.
⧍ Comfy outdoor spaces - a hammock, a Solo Stove fire pit with Adirondack chairs, a railing bar overlooking the trees, and an outdoor living space on the back deck.
⧍ Charcoal grill and tools.
⧍ Dog friendly with no extra fee!
If you need internet for work or streaming (please bring your own devices as again, we do not have a tv!), we do have high speed Starlink internet available.

About the host
Hosted by Shealy Washington

Hi! We are Shealy and Eddie - originally from Alabama, where we met in college, but have since moved all over (Germany, Georgia, Oklahoma) during our time as a military family. We got married in the Smokies and fell in love with the mountains so much that we decided to build this cabin as our forever home and enjoy getting to host guests there until the day comes when we can move in full time.
Why they chose this property
We love Old Fort!
Since we bought our property in 2021, it has been an incredible part of our journey to watch the town come to life. We've gotten to know and love so many of the businesses and business owners there. It's become a special, and unexpected, part of our hosting journey to get to bring people to this little town and have them connect with the incredible local businesses - like Euda Wine, Whaley Farm Brewing, Seeker Coffee, Arrowhead Art Gallery, The Common Pine, Hillman Beer, Davis Country Store, and more.
Come see why we love it! Many of our guests feel the same way we do.

What makes this property unique
There's a lot about it that is very unique - for one thing, the shape. People love an a-frame! But it also was entirely designed by us, which was an incredible experience. There's 28 foot high open ceilings, there's beautiful craftsman level woodworking, and there's also a back deck that wraps around a huge chestnut oak (we've named him Baldur). It's a little bit of a treehouse!
