Enjoy outdoor living on the spacious deck with propane fire pit, relax in the sauna, roast s'mores on the campfire or take an evening cruise with our pontoon, canoe, paddleboat or kayak on Trillium Lake to soak in the sunsets. The fall colors are truly amazing and the best time to enjoy the sauna! Inside our cozy cabin or in our large screened in porch enjoy a board game, good book or game of cards. There is ample parking to store your four-wheeler, side by side, boat, or vehicle during your stay. We are only 16 miles from Leech Lake, six miles from Woman lake and dozen of prime fishing lakes in-between. We have no doubt you'll love this place as much as we do!

Trillium Lake (DNR # 11027000) is a 155 acres lake located near Hackensack, MN. This is a private secluded lake surrounded by acres of undeveloped land. Offering a BWCA Wilderness feel. Trillium Lake has 4.57 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 48 feet. The lake is primarily managed for largemouth bass, northern pike, black crappie and bluegills.
Deep Portage Learning Center- located only five miles from the cabin is a nonprofit residential environmental learning center located on more than 6,000 acres of lakes, bogs, rivers, and woodlands. The Center offers public programs and events. Do check them out!
Fishing- Trillium will offer great bass, northern and panfish however for those avid fishermen in search of walleye, bring your boat! The cabin is only 6 miles from Woman Lake, and 16 miles from Tenmile or Leech Lake. Some of the areas premier fishing lakes.
Biking- Travel just seven miles to the city of Hackensack and catch the MN State Heartland Trail which connects to the Paul Bunyan (North) Trail. The Paul Bunyan Trail is 123 miles long extending from Crow Wing State Park to Lake Bemidji State Park. It is the longest continuously paved rail-trail in the country. The Heartland State Trail was one of the first rail-to-trail projects in the country and spans 45 miles between Park Rapids and Cass Lake.
Kayaking- Travel south to Backus area and paddle the Pine River State Water Trail- See map and use caution.
Golf- Tianna County Club (Walker) and Black Bear Golf Complex (Pine River) , Ridgewood Golf Course (Longville)
Boutiques/Shopping/Quilt Shops- Both the communities of Hackensack and Longville offer wonderful boutiques, coffee shops, a quilt shop and great restaurants.
Public Lands- Hunting/OHV- Chippewa National Forest’s southern boundary is just 12 miles north of the cabin and 100’s of acres of public managed lands.
