Magnificent Townhome Amazing View! - Top Of Camelback Mountain

Located in The Village at Camelback, at the very top of the mountain, this charming four-story townhouse has just been renovated 5/2021. Within this securely gated community, you'll have access to the clubhouse which includes pool, hot tub, gym, etc. Steps away from everything that the Poconos has to offer, the townhouse features a large common area with a fireplace, a wet bar and cathedral ceilings, full functioning kitchen and private balcony. There is also an outdoor front deck that is perfect for BBQing or just chilling out.
The townhouse had 3 bedrooms and a finished basement with 2 futons. It sleeps 10 comfortably. The view is spectacular!

Common Space:
Our living room features two couches and a recliner, cathedral ceiling, fireplace, breakfast nook , kitchen island and a wet bar. Sliding glass doors allow abundant natural light inside and open up to a private corner balcony. There are two outdoor spaces to enjoy anytime of year. The second out door space is the front deck with outdoor seating and grill for use.

We have just installed a 82" Class Q6DT QLED 4K UHD HDR Smart TV in the Living room.
In the lower level we installed a 65" Class NanoCell 81 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV.

Top floor loft space: 1 queen bed, 1 full bath.
Bottom floor bedroom one: 1 queen bed, 1 full bath with jacuzzi tub.
Bottom floor bedroom two: 1 queen bed, 1 full bath.

Main floor: 1/2 bathroom

Kitchen:
Full kitchen with stocked cabinets (dishware, silverware, utensils, paper towels, etc.), fully functional stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, island with bar stool seating.
We have a two coffee machines so that you can get the day started with a pot of joe for the whole family or just a KCup for the solo drinker. Want to make some chili for after a long day on the slopes or at camel beach ? We've got the crockpot and toaster ready to go!

-Smartlock pro with keypad - combination to be provided with confirmation of stay and is randomized for each visit
-Security team provided by the community to ensure safety.
-Please note the cleaning fee also includes the community rental fee which gets you access to the pool, gym, sauna, tennis/basketball courts, parking, etc.

Community Sports Complex:
As a part of your stay, you have full access to the community sports complex which houses an indoor heated pool, hot tub, full gym, and indoor/outdoor tennis courts.
-Gym and indoor tennis courts are open from 9am-5pm, 7 days/week.
-Outdoor tennis courts are open during spring, summer and autumn months only - hours vary.
-Pool hours vary as well - please check prior to your stay if interested.
The townhouse is located in the Village at Camelback gated community. This private residence is within walking distance of Camelback Mountain Resort and the communities sports complex.

Guests must abide by The Village at Camelback rules and regulations.

Check-in/Check-out:
Upon arrival, all guests must check in at the community center. The staff will provide you with gate access into the community as well as parking passes. After your stay, guests must check out at the community center as well.

Parking:
The community allows 2 cars to park on premise per townhouse. Only two parking passes will be provided to you at check-in by the staff.

Quiet Hours:
10pm - 7am are quiet hours. The community is popular for families with young children. Please be respectful of this rule.

Garbage:
By the end of your stay, all trash/garbage bags must be brought down to the compactor located down the hill by the entrance/exit gates. Please refer to the map in the townhouse for reference. Garbage left in the townhouse after check-out will result with an additional fee.
*DO NOT leave trash outside the townhouse or in ski boxes outside. This will attract wildlife (bear!) to the community and result with an addition fee.

The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants to choose from and a nearby supermarket (Weis Market) to stock up on snacks and groceries for during your stay.
Just a short drive away is Mount Airy Casino (15-20 min drive), Kalahari Indoor Waterpark (15-20 min drive), shopping at the Crossings Outlets (10 min drive) and Big Pocono State Park (5 min drive). The community sports complex is a 5-10 minute walk from the townhouse.

Parking:
The community allows 2 cars to park on premise per townhouse. Only two parking passes will be provided to you at check-in by the staff. There is overflow parking at the entrance of the community.

Overall good stay. Minor tweaks needed.

Stayed for 3 nights. I really wanted to give this property 5 stars bc of its style and location, but a few things couldve been improved: Coffee machine was missing the glass pot. We got creative and used a small cooking pot in its place. A huge group like ours with 5 children NEEDS coffee. ASAP. Blender was also missing some pieces so the mango margaritas we planned for, after the kiddos went to sleep, barely came together. No central air. Only living room has a wall unit. Bedrooms have box fans. There was some confusion with the heating systems in each room making the entire unit unbearably hot for everyone on the first night. Thankfully the homeowner was responsive and was able to send someone over who ultimately had to shut down the entire heating system. There was also some trick for turning on the living room ceiling fan that wasn't immediately obvious to a renter. We had 4 cars in our party. Only 2 were allowed to park up at the unit. The other two cars were allowed up for 15 mins to unload and then had to remain parked down at the "overflow" lot. This meant 2 drivers had to be driven up/down to get their cars and pack up the kiddos/gear etc. Just something to consider during rainy/colder weather. Despite these things, the location, checkin process, and overall rental were great for my large group of extended family and our children together. Baby gates, crib, and wine bar were nice touches. I would consider this property again.

When the owner of this property, also " a realtor "not wanting to take my initial call of introduction and subsequent communications, I knew I was dealing with a slumlord. My guest we're sitting on old beat up coach with a hole and worn out springs, Overgrown trees obstructing the mountain view that we are told to have a lovely panorama. The mattresses are outdated woke up with back pain. The only air conditioner in the house was not powerful enough to cool down 3 floors. Save your headache and go elsewhere, don't waste your time reading her bogus reviews !

Perfect for family ski trip

This place was perfect for our family. The place had just about everything you need while you are away from home. The kitchen was new with everything we needed to cook meals. The wifi was great and the multi level nature of the home allows for some quiet while others may want to socialize. Keri was very responsive and helped with anything we needed. The only suggestion would be that it may be time for a new couch in the living room. I never comment on beds because that is always an individual thing that varies from person to person.

Amazing remodeled house close to everything.

Keri was an amazing host, attentive and amicable with all requests. We enjoyed it so much we stayed two months for ski season. Close to the mountain, water park, etc. The house was recently remodeled, and well taken care of. Thanks Keri!

Just an "OK" experience

House was OK overall, but some stuff was broken, overgrown trees in the back obstructed what could be a great view, and the deck has seen better days. The condo management company should enforce a rule that guests need to wear swimsuits in the pool, and not swim in their street clothes, which is what some people did. Also there was a baby in the pool without a diaper or anything covering her bottom. Eww, we left the pool right away after we saw that.

Nice Home on the highest levels!

Amazing property that looks just like it does in the photos. The sheer space was great and the bar was a nice bonus. I was disappointed when the hottub was no longer on the premise, as the photos has shown such. Otherwise wonderful spot for a family trip and its unforgettable.

Great views and close to skiing

Comfortable house high up with a good view. 3 comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms aren't in the best repair but functional. Good heating and hot water and the kitchen has everything you need. We completely missed that there is a basement with a fuse ball and extra TV area so don't forget that especially if you're traveling with kids. Altogether good stay!

Nice location but house with a lot of issues

The house was nice at the first sight. After we went to our rooms and took a look of the bed sheets they were wrinkled and looked like wasn’t changed. Also towels looked old and used. In the lower level there was a leak from the ceiling from the upper level bathroom and once we contacted the owner they didn’t even contact us back and ignored it and texted us back before checkout (asking if we turned off the water. ) In the kitchen there was no kettle to boil the water, coffee machine didn’t work. Bathtub was dirty. Grill didn’t work properly. The tank was working poorly. We felt disappointed, after paying so much money for night and nothing was worth it. We definitely won’t come back in that house.

Nice Weekend Getaway

When I first booked this my wife was skeptical. We are typically a beach bum family, but I wanted to try something different and a bit closer. My wife and I absolutely loved our entire time at Mike’s house. It’s a beautiful house with a large amount of space and wonderful views. We spent a day at camelback water park, the kids loved it! From there we hit the brewery, which was excellent. We cooked out on the grill for breakfast and a couple of other meals and it was great having everything I needed already there. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, and have already sent the home away link to several people at work who are interested in it after I came back talking about it. All around great time that really brought us all closer together. Thank you!

Amazing house, great location.

This house was perfect for us. Very roomy, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed and then some. The location was great. ...close to Camelbeach and shopping and restaurants. Plenty of extra pillows, towels, blankets , and fans and everything we needed to do some cooking at home. The view was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to get away for some quiet relaxation with great mountain views.

Spacious home, nice, comfy & clean

My family enjoyed our stay at this 4 level home!! Our only concern was there was no lock on the back sliding door which didn’t help the kids with feeling secure while secluded in the woods. I would suggest adding curtains in the dining room, living room & bedrooms as well to help give a more safe & secure feeling. Nevertheless, the home was spacious & the family could spread out on different floors, the kids enjoyed dancing & playing games in the basement!! Great property!!

Very accommodating for family!

Another year renting from Mike and extremely pleased with this rental!! It's ideal if you ski or not. We shuttle the skiers/snowboarders back and forth in the back of pick up truck to a spot where they can ski down the mountain! While the few that don't ski/snowboard are relaxing in a spacious condo (preparing the meals too) with a beautiful view!!! Our dogs love it as well! What a great lil getaway to make special family memories! Thanks again Mike😊 Looking forward to next year!

We found a great place to park in Sector 5 that allowed us to walk to/from the slopes. The condo was clean and had plenty of sleeping space. Can it use updating? Sure, but its not a primary residence so manage your expectations. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Nice but not "magnificent" or "newly remodeled.”

I told the owner that I would not post my comments, but after an email exchange in which he refused to acknowledge the condition of the property, (and confirming that we were talking about the same house), I decided to post a review for others considering renting this townhouse. The view is beautiful, and the home has a wonderful fireplace and nicely equipped kitchen and, a requirement for our family, pets are allowed. However, this house has not been "recently" or completely remodeled. The bathrooms are all older, and the carpeting throughout the house shows extensive wear. The owner told me that we were the first people to rent the house after the new jacuzzi was installed, but this is not possible. The jacuzzi jets were dirty, and the baseboard around the tub showed wear (and the tub did not look new). In the upstairs bathroom it appears that wallpaper was ripped off the wall, and no repair was done. If you are considering renting this house, please ask for additional pictures, and possibly a money-back guarantee on the condition of the property.

I always wanted to have a refuge where the family could spend together without the distractions of everyday life. Hence, we purchased our mountain home and have made and continue to make wonderful memories!

Why they chose this property

The view from our deck is magnificent. We are the highest point on the mountain and can see New York on a clear day. Nothing beats relaxing in the living room or deck and being mesmerized by the gift Mother Nature provides. The living space is very spacious and cozy like home.
