We stayed in this property in June of 2013, on a trip from Virginia with our three children, to meet up with our friends from Colorado and their three children (6 kids ages 9-20). It was roomy enough for all, and very comfortable and obviously well cared-for! The master bedroom upstairs is large and private with a beautiful bath with full shower. The master bath and kitchen are recently updated and lovely! We could not hear the children talking in the rooms next to us, nor our friends downstairs-- each room is its own sanctuary. The girls loved the children's rooms, which were roomy enough to move around but still cozy, with shelves of books and a tv. The children had no problem sharing the upstairs second bath. Our friends were very comfortable in the downstairs private master bed and bath. (All other bedrooms are up). The furniture and decor is all very pleasant and comfy, with plenty of seating for all. The home is very clean, the space was incredibly functional for all of our luggage, coolers, boogie boards, beach equipment, plus the home has beach toys and equipment onsite for renter use. The deck off of the upstairs master is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Live Oaks and birds with a drink and a book on a quiet, warm afternoon. The grill on the downstairs deck is wonderful for cooking up dinner for everyone (and the kitchen is fantastic, as well!) and with the deck table, bar seating and dining area, there is plenty of room for everyone to sit and eat! There is a full-sized washer and dryer in a separate laundry room, and a hose directly off of both entrances, so keeping up with beachy clothes and sandy feet is a breeze (also a shower on the walk back from the beach). The walk to the beach is super short (short enough for most of the children to go back and forth independently) and so pretty, and the beach, and sunsets (!!!) are breathtaking as well as the wildlife! We saw deer, sharks (small-- shallow water nursery, amazing variety), rays, LOTS of dolphins, horshoe crabs, hermit crabs, and many birds. All in abundance! The beach is really a special haven! The locals on the beach will strike up a conversation with any visitor, and are so friendly and laid back! The pool, restaurants, etc. are a very easy walk. Bike paths are abundant. We took a daytrip to Savannah, Georgia; which was an easy drive and so worth it, and there are many other close-by daytrips! Pleasant, quiet, private, comfy...we will hopefully stay again very soon!
