We had a wonderful stay. The home was so clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We made a big dinner and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils etc. The views of the mountains are spectacular and we saw a gorgeous sunset. We will definitely come back again.
Somehow the description and pictures of the property don't do it justice.
The space is so bright, open and airy with lots of space to accommodate a small group comfortably.
We visited in mid-late October, and the Fall colors in the trees were unparalleled, with a breathtaking view that lasts for miles with killer sunsets. It was striking every day.
Luckily we had perfect weather during our stay so we were outdoors a lot. However, the home entertainment system in the basement is impressive. There's a pingpong table, arcade basketball and tons of boardgames that I'm sure would keep younger folks happy.
The kitchen has great appliances and cooking is a breeze.
If you're there in the Fall, Hilltop Orchards in MA is less than 10 minutes away, and has apple picking, cider, microbrews and honestly, the best apple cider donuts I have ever had!
Excellent communication from the host made this stay one of the best I have ever had.
My wife and I, along with a friend or two, enjoyed a long autumn weekend in this remarkable house in Canaan, NY. During the day, much of our time was spent in Lenox and nearby Massachusetts towns, all easily accessible from the property.
You’ll find most every amenity known to man, along with more open space, both inside and outside, than you’ll know what to do with. If you’re lucky enough to find this property available, snap it up!
We’d love to come back and stay longer! This was a perfect getaway equidistant from Boston and New York, near apple picking and lots of other fun activities.
We had an amazing stay - the house is insanely beautiful, with gorgeous views and amenities (like a great fire pit, ping pong table, workout room etc). We loved how secluded it felt and would absolutely return!
This is a wonderful house with lots of room to relax and amazing views from the deck and main living space and bedrooms. The space was super clean, the furniture and finishes are top notch and comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is super private and also perfect for easy access to area attractions. We will definitely return.
What a beautiful property! It was a fantastic week long stay with friends. Catching up over coffee in the morning while watching the deer in the back yard. Evenings spent around the fire. The he house is beautiful, modern, and spacious.
Dan’s communication was exceptional. Could not recommend more highly!
The house, surroundings and views can’t be beat. The location is …? Way out in the hinterlands. When they have to mention Loves Truckstop and Subway as “restaurants nearby” you know you are out in the middle of nowhere.
Beautiful home

Do your homework.
We bought breakfast food
And water and drinks before our arrival.
We bought a corkscrew and added it to their kitchen supplies.

Amazing
But remember you have to get back to the house
In the dark
And it’s testy if it rains
It did. We made it back safe and sound.
The house and grounds is a 10
The location is ???
We are 76 yrs old
Would we stay there again?
You betcha!
My wife and I recently stayed for 4 nights at this special property. We chose this home because of its proximity to a work event at Balderdash Cellars in Richmond, MA. We were also drawn to the images of the property listing and breathtaking views - all of which did not disappoint. Although temperatures outside reached the mid 90s our first 2 days, the AC kept us cool and comfortable. We spent much of our time on the back deck enjoying the amazing views, listening to the birds, and watching the clouds and weather move across the landscape. We easily connected to the Sonos equipment to enjoy our music from wherever we were situated. We both worked remotely during the workdays, and the WIFI worked perfectly. My wife took the desk on the top floor, and I spread out on the large dining room table, so I could look out at the scenery. For lunch, we went to the general store located conveniently to the property. We also visited Hoogs and Crawford Glass to buy some hand blown glass items. The owners were extremely friendly, and they spent time going over their process and techniques used to create their art pieces. I was really impressed with the plumbing and fixtures in the many bathrooms. The hardwood floors were beautiful and clean. For any Scrabble players like us, the Scrabble board in the living room has no tiles missing :-). My only wish is that we had more family staying with us to enjoy all the space and amenities the property affords. We definitely hope to stay here again.
Beautiful updated home with hardwood floors throughout the house. Three downstairs bedrooms, 2 with a beautiful view of the mountains and sunsets. The sunroom was perfect for morning coffee , reading a book or working. The basement has a workout gym , pool table and television area. Upstairs there’s a tv/ work space. We attended a wedding in the area with much nicer amenities than the local hotels. Great place for a family.
My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. Dan was very responsive to any questions. The check in and out process was easy. The location on the top of the hill is beautiful. The house is fantastic and super comfortable; beds, chairs and couches all comfortable. We loved the theater room and gym. It had everything we were looking for and would definitely recommend it. Visit the Balderdash Winery less than 15 minutes away for a fun atmosphere and good beer and wine. Must try the apple cider donuts at Hilltop. Fantastic. We hope to be back!
