Walkable Home In Heart of West Asheville Near Downtown
Wake up to this peaceful and friendly neighborhood and enjoy the cool mountain morning breeze as you walk towards your favorite breakfast cafe! This newly renovated 1951 home is located in the heart of West Asheville and is only 0.3 miles 6-10 minute-walk from West Asheville’s vibrant and quintessentially hip Haywood Rd and all the restaurants, bars, breweries, and shops it has to offer. This home is quiet especially at night yet very walkable. This is West Asheville Living at its best!
This cozy comfy home is close to Downtown Asheville (2 miles) and to other top destinations such as Biltmore House, Grove Park Inn, River Arts District, and Blue Ridge Parkway. It is designed with eclectic and vintage accent pieces. It also has an open-concept layout equipped with brand new kitchen appliances (May 2022), Smart TV’s, high speed WI-FI, working desks, and a record player with vinyl selections.
This is a two-level home with all amenities located on the main level except for the basement bedroom (not a typical basement, it’s not underground, has walk out door, and big windows). The main entrance to the house is through the main door with stripes awning. The house could also be accessed through the back door.
Thermostat for AC and Heat is located inside the vintage window decor in the living room. It is set to 70 degrees but guests are welcome to adjust to their comfort.
As previously mentioned, this home sits in friendly and peaceful family neighborhood where people walk and kids play. Please help preserve the integrity of this neighborhood by driving slow and refraining from partying.
Bathroom:
The master’s bedroom has a private bathroom inside the room. It has a walk-in shower.
The other bathroom is located in the hallway and is designated for the other two bedrooms. It has a tub with a shower. Although this bathroom has been upgraded, there were some spots on the tub that needed to be touched up with white tub paint which left a white mark. There are also some minor stains from the glue that once held a glass shower door.
Towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toilet paper are provided.
Kitchen:
Plates, utensils, pots, pans, paper towel are located in the kitchen cabinets. Microwave oven, refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, and stove with built-in air fryer are also available. Coffee and Keurig coffee maker are also available for guest's use. Water from the faucet is city water and is safe to drink. There are smaller waste cans for both recycling and trash in the pull-out cabinet to the right of the the kitchen sink. There are also bigger waste cans for both recycling and trash located at the carport to the left of the house (if you’re facing the house).
Bedroom:
The master’s bedroom has California King sized hybrid gel memory foam mattress with medium firmness.
The 2nd bedroom on the main floor has queen-sized hybrid gel memory foam mattress with medium firmness.
The third bedroom downstairs has FIRM California King sized hybrid gel memory foam mattress.
There is a clothes steamer in each bedroom closet. There is also an iron and ironing board in master’s bedroom. There's an available hair drier in one of the shelves in each closet. There is a working desk in the master’s bedroom and downstairs bedroom. Extra sheets and blankets are also available. Each bedrooms include a small TV with smart options. No local news subscription available.
Things to note:
Strictly no pets allowed. I am unable to accommodate guest with dogs or cats, even if such pets are assistance animals, due to my extreme allergies to animal dander and fur. Penalty is $250/night with immediate booking cancellation.
Please respect the neighborhood and drive slow. Sometimes there are kids on the street and people walking.
This is a family neighborhood and no partying is allowed.
Strictly no smoking both inside and outside.
No candle lighting please.
This home is not child proof nor equipped for children.
Also, trash pick up days are Mondays and recycling days are every other Mondays. Someone may come
Sunday evening to get the bins ready and Monday evening to replace it back.
Lawnmowers may mow the grass every two weeks during mowing season. They were instructed to come in the afternoon so as not to disturb the guests.
House has oil heat. Oil gas company comes every month during winter season to fill the oil.
This is a privately owned property; the owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Also, the owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
By booking, the guests agree to all terms and conditions as stipulated for this property on this site.
Guests has access to all parts of the house except for the storage in the basement and the storage shed in the back yard.
Other things to note
There is a record player with some vinyl collections in the living room. Guests are welcome to enjoy them but are requested to replace the record back to its place.
For parking, please use the carport at the back of the house and the driveway to the right of the house (if you’re facing the house). You may also use the carport to the left of the house (if you’re facing the house) but make sure there’s a space for trash bins to be pulled to the street during pick up days.
This house is not handicap accessible.
The ceiling is low in the curb of the staircase going to the downstairs bedroom. Please watch your head!
Laundry machines are available for guests’ use.
There is a dining table for your use. Please refrain from bringing foods into the bedroom.
Fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink and on the staircase wall.
Firs aid kit can be found in every closet.
No pets are allowed please.
No partying please.
Strictly no smoking please (inside and outside the house - is very sensitive to cigarette smoke).
Strictly maximum of 6 guests only. A charge of $100/person/ day for every extra guest with immediate eviction.
This home is not child proof and is not equipped for children, and therefore is not suitable for children.
In case of fire and emergency, the meeting place will be the sidewalk at corner of Louisiana Ave and Pruitt Drive.
