Yay Whistler!
We found this property that checked all of our boxes. There was plenty of room for our family of 5. It was easy to check in when we arrived and everything was conveniently located. We were blown away with how close this property was to the mountain along with restaurants and shopping. I would definitely recommend this property

Great location!
We very much enjoyed our week at this location. Very close to the Blackcomb gondola, easy ski storage, and close walk to the village. We have stayed at other units at Glacier Lodge and will continue to come back. The location is way from the crowds at the village but an easy walk if you want to head over to the village. The unit was perfect for our family of 4 (two teenages included). The host was super nice about allowing us to check in early and out late. We look forward to coming back this summer.

Location location ...
Great apartment inside Glacier Lodge, nice patio as the unit is on ground floor. Best of all true ski-in/-out max 3 min walk to the base of Blackcomb. Easy walk to Whistler Village for restaurants, grocery shopping etc. Ski valet in the lobby included, which is a nice touch. Clean overall facility, including gym, swimming pool, hot-tub. Underground, gated parking (at extra cost (vending machine in the lobby) but this is as disclosed in the property description). We will definitely return if we can in the future.

Great for small people
We are a family of 5, kids range from 16-20 years and this property was super tight. The room configuration is a little awkward - the queen bed is in the front room with a pocket door that attaches it to the "master" that has a bathroom (heated floors! yea!) but the "master" bed is a murphy that only fits if you have the door closed - zero space to maneuver to the bathroom or for any suitcases. We were basically putting the bed up and down every day so that we had space. Our own fault that we expect king beds in masters - we should have re-read the listing before we reserved it. Bonus was location! There is a tiny store across the street, the liquor store is on the first floor, the farmers market is steps away and the kids are old enough to send to the bike park and village for ice cream alone and that is a quick walk - you get the quiet of Blackcomb so it feels much safer. Another bonus - the kitchen had so many plates and glasses and utensils that we didn't feel like we had to do dishes after every meal. It would be a great unit for a family of 4 with little kids - our kids are big now, and it was just too small.

Great location
We had a good stay. Paying for parking every day was a bit of a pain, as the front desk did not tell me there was a multi-day pay option. The beds were a bit on the small size. And decent-sized wine glasses would be nice. But I nitpick: overall, a very nice unit, and a great location. Thanks!

Good building and facilities
Layout was tight and master had no ensuite, went to my children. Parking was brutally expensive. Daughter purchased parking tickets and accidentally bought 7 instead of 8 and we left to a 55$ fine on our car. Not a nice goodbye. for a family of 4 it worked, Pool and hot tubs great. One sofa in main living area, needed a lounging chair or love seat so we could all relax comfortably after an active day. Lots of kitchen chairs. Loved Whistler, haven’t been for many years, food was amazing, prices were !?!? Hiking, mountain biking awesome. We had a blast overall, property manager was easy and responsive Ty!

So close to Blackcomb base. Easy checkin/checkout, convenient parking, ski check. Place is snug (as described) but a nice place. They do need to fix the pool (heat is broken so icy cold). Enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing
We were very excited to be staying in Whistler for a 4 day ski trip and were pleased with the practicality of Glacier Lodge as it was so close to blackcomb gondola and nearby restaurants. We recieved a good check in experience which was thorough and helpful. However this was all soon tarnished by a poor check out service when we had waited over 10 minutes for the receptionist to attend the desk, who had a look on her face like she had no interest in us or even working there. She was a pale brunette australian lady with a bobble hat. We handed in our towels and she said here's your receipt and that seemed to conclude our check out process until we had to ask her is that everything? We then voiced our concerns about the absence of the lack of cleaning service/bed sheets not being changed/providing bin bags and her response was a short and cold 'okay', with no apology or sincerity at all. A sarcastic, 'enjoy the rest of your travels' was then thrown in as we walked away. This completely tarnished our stay as we did not feel valued as a customer and I was really disappointed considering the amount of money we paid for this hotel to receive such poor and rude service. We will be staying somewhere else next door next time.

Great location and convenient amenities
Rented this unit for my family of 5 for a week. It was a 3 minute walk to the Blackcomb base. The facility was good with hot tubs and heated outdoor pool. The ski rent shop where we stored our personal skis was super convenient and better than a ski locker. Loved the keyless entry for the room and common areas. The room was as advertised, bathrooms and kitchen were great. Generally clean but some of the furniture was dusty. I would suggest leaving less personal items around in corners and the front closet which limited storage space which meant we had to leave our suitcases piled in the living room. I would say better suited to a party of 4.

Whistler Stay
This was a nice property. I was a bit concerned about comments surrounding the property size, but it really was just fine. When the murphy bed was down, it was a bit difficult to navigate in that room. There is a very large patio, which we put to good use. The BBQ was not clean but that is on the prior guest for not cleaning as instructed (we used BBQ mats, so not a problem for us). Recently installed air conditioning was greatly appreciated. There are still some unfinished cuts in the ceiling from installation, but absolutely not a problem. Kitchen was well-stocked, bed was comfortable, shower was great and the property was quiet, even though there were clearly people above and beside us. We were happy with the the pool and hot tub. The only problems encountered were that my reservation did not get conveyed to the front desk and I had a brand new phone, which caused a delay in locating my copy. And the TV only had 2 stations, but we really did not need it either. Property manager was prompt to reply to questions in advance of reserving. I would stay here again.

small, noisy, overpriced
The review of the unit does not tell you how small it is. You only find this out after you have paid. These were the smallest "queen beds" we had ever seen. The dresser in main bedroom is wedged sideways beside the bed so that you cannot stand in front of it to open it. A "queen bed" in the second bedroom turns out to be a Murphy bed and not that comfortable and you cannot open the door entirely to this bedroom without lifting the Murphy bed. The unit has a vent or drainpipe from another unit that made noises at night. Cold air blasted into unit from range hood and bathroom fan. One hot tub was closed for the remainder of the winter (guests complained of similar problem last year) and remaining hot tub so full of people it was unusable at times. When it was usable it was full of foam. The parking garage is so tight that a small SUV doesn't fit into half the spots. No cleaning service mid-week and you have to take out your own garbage. The shower had barely hot enough water, although the sink tap did- go figure. This was my 9th visit to Whistler/Blackcomb and the most expensive. This unit is grossly over-priced relative to comparable or larger units in close-by buildings. BTW - the unit was clean on arrival; ski storage in ski shop is convenient; staff generally pleasant and helpful. HOMEAWAY doesn't tell you that you are paying US dollars (even though you have a CAD IP address and the link to this unit was from another website with CAD pricing) until you book and they have charged your credit card. RIPOFF!! Never Again.

Really nice apartment in the upper village
Just had a week in this apartment with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 small French Bulldogs. The location in the upper village is great and the new Gondola (3 minute walk) was a fast and virtually queue free experience, even on busy days. Portabello, opposite, and in the Fairmont, is perfect for early coffee or lunch and take out for dinner. There is a shop very close by that does all the basic food and general store stuff, so you don't need to go to the village for basic supplies. There is a pub and liquor shop very close by in the building exterior and plenty of restaurants if you don't want to walk 10 minutes to the main village. The apartment is a decent size for a group of four. Six would be a squeeze. We actually used the sofa bed for one teen and the murphy bed for the other(to stave off the fighting). The rooms are just about big enough to put two in each room and two on the pull out. The pull out is actually really big for a pull out bed, but obviously limits space when in use. There are loads of extra blankets to use and you will not run short of bedding. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of everything for everyone. Both bathrooms, while small, are excellent as well. Both showers were excellent and it is really nice to have two bathrooms to use between the four of us. I can certainly recommend this apartment for a family of 4 to use for a week with no issues what so ever. It is quiet as it faces out towards the road, rather than in towards the pool. The outside area was great for letting the dogs out into as well. It is very well equipped with jut enough hanging space for four people and their ski gear. Ski's and Snowboards stay in the rental shop overnight which worked really well and is free. Parking is $20 per night and we just squeezed under the height restriction of 6'8" in a Mazda CX9 with a roof box. Pool towels are loaned out from the front desk for use. Just need to find an excuse to go back now.

Couldn't ask for a better location!
This condo was perfect for our group of 5! The two bedrooms and two bathrooms gave us the room we needed. We loved the fireplace as we sat around the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals. I, especially, appreciated the hair dryers in the bathroom since I had forgotten my own. The building the condo is in has a great ski rental place filled with super people. It is a easy walk to the gondola. With a market and a wonderful breakfast place just across the street, we had everything we needed. Thanks!

Having frequented Whistler for over 20 years to enjoy skiing and hiking, it was time to get a place of our own.

Why they chose this property

Glacier Lodge is in an exceptional location in Whistler. It is conveniently located at Blackcomb Base. It has restaurants, and stores in the building and along an promenade shared with the prestigious Chateau Whistler. It has convenience and amenities without the noise and congestion of Whistler Village, yet the village is a short walk away. For those in the know, this is the best place to be in Whistler!
