The apartment is modern and comfortable, but the customer service was shockingly bad. I did not receive any check in information in advance, and an hour before check in I received a call from an unidentified agent asking me not to yell anyone in the building that I had booked a short term rental. A half hour before check in, I finally received an email with key pick up info, and only then discovered that the key was a 40 minute walk from the apartment. I called the number back to ask if there were alternatives, and a different agent refused to help, refund, or even identify themself or the company they worked for. Through some online digging I discovered that they're called "Upstay". I called the number back after entering the apartment to confirm check out instructions, because they were not provided along with check in, and the agent told me to leave the keys in the apartment when I left. Then, shockingly, at 1 am in the morning, I received an email saying somebody would come into the apartment at 8 am to collect the keys!! What on earth?? Checkout time was listed as 10. Luckily I emailed back rejecting this idea. They emailed back moving the time to 8:45. I rejected it again and they told me to leave the keys as originally planned. I have to be honest that I recommend avoiding this apartment, and avoiding anything managed by "upstay".
