Peaceful relaxing stay

Thanks Carolee! The grounds were beautiful and it was quiet. The host, Carolee, was super nice and attentive. She knew of all the nearby attractions. The place is clean and renovated. It seems like there are more renovations to come, this place will only get better ! Thanks again.

railroading and mining patch from the late 1800's" Houser's Crossing, Schuylkill County,
Pennsylvania is designated an anthracite cultural landmark in honor and
appreciation of its owners who faithfully continue the revitalization of this
classic example of an anthracite patch community.  Complete with its inseparable mining and rail

Why they chose this property

Our private village is the essence of seclusion and nature = pure heaven. When you cross the bridge and enter thru our private gate you are surrounded by the village's ten acres of hiking and walking trails that leads you then to over 3,400 acres of PA State Game Lands (known as the Wildcat Mountain). If that wasn't enough, the Little Schuylkill River runs through our entire property with beautiful walk paths that lead you right down into it.

What makes this property unique

So many things make this property unique: our river, the Wildcat Mountain, the fact that we are designated as an Anthracite Cultural Landmark, and we have our very own "whistle stop" of the Reading Northern Railroad (aka Houser's Crossing). We offer yoga classes in our lighted grove, on site massages, and boast our very own "Magical Meditation Fern Garden" surrounded by the most beautiful stone wall. You will get lost in our beauty and serenity during your stay.
