We absolutely loved this property. Everything was clean and orderly. The location was awesome for safety and use of all Fripp had to offer. The only thing I would change is possibly allowing the temperature being set to at least 70 degrees instead of 73 we had fans going and it was still a little warm for us but we will definitely bring extra fans next time. Definitely not a show stopper. Loved this house!
We loved our stay on Tarpon and at Fripp!! Only complaint would be the weather being extra chilly in March but we still had enough sun for beach and pool time! The pools had just opened 2 days before we were there, so they were still cold, but we were glad to be able to check them out. We rented a golf cart which made our stay 100% better on the island! The house was a short walk to the beach and very spacious and welcoming. I might have left a blue galaxy phone in a couch, so look out for that for me please!! I would recommend staying the last weekend in March as we were the weekend before and everything was just starting to open up for the season. Looks like for the last weekend in March, there were food trucks, more events, and the Cabana was up and running. We hope to stay again soon!!!

Great location ~ Amenity Cards ~ Steps to the Beach!
We absolutely love Fripp Island! We enjoy the beach and all the pools, riding around on the golf cart in the evenings and the kids love playing on the playgrounds. This house was in a great location within walking distance to the beach. Two amenity cards were included which you will need! A golf cart is not included..but is available for rent on the island. The house was just the right size for our group of 5. I gave four stars because the water in the shower of the master bathroom could not be regulated one minute it would be freezing and the next it would be really hot! (This needs some attention I think I saw in an earlier review where someone else had complained about the same thing!) The only other thing I would advise would be to take some bug spray, the mosquitos are really bad outside in front of the house!!! You will also need it if you have kids and are going to be on the playgrounds, mosquitos are really bad there too. Would stay here again!!!
The location of this property is very good and the layout is good but needs some serious updates. We knew this going in but our options were limited and the price was right. The house has a mildew smell that is very strong and everyone's allergies kicked in. There is no where near the entrance to wash the sand off so by the time you walk from the hose to the entrance your feet are covered in sand again and carried into the house. Tree roots need to be addressed, the kids tripped and fell many times. There were sheets on the beds but no top sheets and am sure the comforters were not washed so had we not washed them we would have slept with a cover on us that many others have used, very gross... House was very hot and stuffy. There were DVD players with each TV but none were able to be hooked up. Tide Watch had a Tech Help person come to assist. He was excellent. He had to buy a cable for the main TV to connect the DVD player there was no way to connect the DVD player to the TV in the main bedroom. All of my calls and experiences with Tide Watch Vacations was excellent and they were very responsive and helpful.
This house had plenty of room for our family. The location is within walking distance from the beach. The path to the front door is a little rough with roots, but not a problem for us. We have to give a huge shout out to Rosa for going over and beyond to make our trip more fun! Would definitely recommend this home for a vacation!
We had an amazing time on the island. The house was very close to the beach and had everything we needed for our stay. We ran into couple of issues at the house but they were quickly resolved by the staff.
We enjoyed our stay. We read some pretty negative reviews before arriving, some people have nothing better to do than complain. I dont go to the beach to complain, I go to decompress. 🏖🍻🤙
This is a simple beach house that served our purposes for our trip. We stayed here for a few days while doing some fishing on Fripp Island and the house is totally adequate. Communication with rental agency was excellent and there were no problems or surprises. If you are looking for a "low-frills" rental on Fripp Island, this is a good bet.
The location of the property relative to the beach and pools was great. The inside of the property was clean and as expected, except for one issue we had with the shower in the master bedroom. The outside surroundings of the property fell short of expectations. Although there was a small patio on the back and a small patio on the front they were not what I expected (i.e. view and surroundings). The access to the house from the parking spaces was difficult due to large stone steps, tree roots, and sand. There was a water faucet on the side of the house to rinse your feet and shoes from sand, but only sand from the faucet to the house, which rendered the process useless.
We enjoyed our vacation to Fripp Island. The house is an older house, so with that you get older furniture and creaky floors. I think it all added to the charm. The location of the house is great. A very short walk to the beach. Plus deer visit the back yard. The rooms are all very large giving this home a very big feel! It was more than enough space for my family of 5. We rented a golf cart since one is not provided, highly recommended the golf cart. We were please with the home and our stay. For the price you can not beat this home.
We do have a few improvement suggestions. Thankfully it was a very cool week while we visited. Having the AC only go down to 75 would never work for us in the summer. I think that needs addressed. The TV’s were old and tiny. Only the living room and master had a tv. The kitchen is not well stocked. It needs upgraded pot, pans, etc etc. I would rent this house again, but if those 3 items were fixed it would make for a much better vacation!
Nice location, only problems were low water pressure and could use more and better pans for cooking, we had a great time loved the island , overall great vacation
Need to fix/upgrade a few things but house was nice, sizable and great location (IMO). I might be a little spoiled to large screen TV's and they're not that expensive anymore so that addition would be good (rainy days and after the beach).

Fripp
After booking was informed of the a.c. setting not to be over 72 degrees. The house was very warm at night even with the fans. Close to the beach 🌴 which was very nice with a number of deer visiting every day. We would stay again.

Great House, Great Location
This property was excellent. Big enough for 8 (although we only had 2). The house had nice beds, along with everything you'd need for the trip. A short 1-2 minute walk to the beach was perfect. It's also about a 3 minute walk to one of the 4 places to eat/swim. Definitely recommended for couples, families, and any other group who likes a great location on a gorgeous island.

A cozy little spot close to the best of Fripp Island!
My family of four stayed in this home for a week-long vacation on Fripp Island. We chose it to be close to friends who had rented a beach-front home just around the corner on Yellow Perch, and because the price was so affordable. Everything about this home is as described here. There are two very convenient beach access points less than 2 minutes' walk away. The resort is five minutes away, with tennis, pools, food court, restaurants, bar, etc. Our friends recommended renting a golf cart, which we did and greatly enjoyed (the scavenger hunt from the activity center was so fun!).
The home suited our family (mom, dad, two elementary-aged kids) just perfectly. The owners have begun renovating a few things (master bath), and they have done a great job making the whole place comfortable. I wanted to stay longer just to read some of the books on the shelves, truly a bookworm's dream!
I recommend bringing plastic storage containers for food with you and any specific kitchen items you plan to use. We found mostly everything we needed, but this kitchen is not as full of various pots, pans, and dishes as some other vacation homes we have rented. The DVD and book collection are outstanding, bring games with you if that is something you enjoy doing (we did not find games in the house, but we did find a fun puzzle we assembled!). Since the home is older, we did run into a couple of things that needed a little maintenance, but nothing that detracted from our vacation (leave a note when you go to help out the owners!).
Overall, we loved this home, and would certainly return if we vacation on Fripp again!
