1st floor efficiency unit located at Sea Sands Condos recently remodeled with fresh paint and new furniture. Sleeps 4 comfortably with king bed and sleeper sofa. Kitchen with all basic kitchen appliances/utensils. Flat screen TV with cable.

This unit has been repaired after damage from Hurricane Harvey, however the building is still under construction. Please keep in mind that you may encounter construction during your stay.

Welcome to the Shore Thing, your private Port Aransas retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. Everything in this condo from flooring, walls, appliances, furniture-you name it.its new! Spend your vacation in a modern condo with all of the amenities you seek.

Located at Sea Sands Condominiums, this property is only a hop, skip, and a jump away from the beach and town. You can drive golf carts around town and to and from the condo. Guests at Shore Thing have use of the community swimming pool and can use the Coral Cay boardwalk to get to and from the beach.

Inside you will find a well-appointed kitchen with range, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge. There is a coffee bar with a Keurig and a regular Mr. Coffee maker. The living area has a convertible sofa that opens into a queen bed as well as two comfortable swivel chairs. The dining table seats 4 and there are two bar stools at the breakfast bar for additional seating. A large flat screen smart TV is mounted for your viewing pleasure. This TV has Spectrum cable as well as smart apps you can login to with your account info. The main sleeping area has a king size bed with a comfy hybrid mattress as well as a 32 inch flat screen smart tv on the dresser. This TV has the Spectrum App where you can watch cable and also login to other apps like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon!

A plus with this condo is the large outdoor patio that looks onto a grassy area and the Coral Cay tennis courts. Enjoy some outside time in this private area and take in the morning sunrise. Located out here are community in ground BBQ grills for your grilling needs. The swimming pool is located by the Sea Sands office where you will also find a community laundry room.

Boat parking allowed in designated area but check with management on size restrictions. A maximum of two standard size vehicles are allowed. Golf carts count as one of the two vehicles. Parking is not assigned and first come, first served.

Other Things to Note:
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. While we try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late departures. This is to allow our cleaning crew ample time to make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after your stay.

ACCESS CODE We have an electronic lock on our property. You won't need to go to an office and pick up keys. This code will be a part of the check-in instructions sent 30 minutes prior to your arrival. When you get in the area you can go straight to the property, unpack, relax and enjoy.

INCIDENTALS: The house comes stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, cookware, linens, soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath towels. There is a coffee maker.

SELF CATERING: All of our properties are self-catering. No maid or towel service is provided during your stay.

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING: Beach towels, extra paper goods (toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels), extra pillows if you wish to sleep with more than one, coffee and coffee filters, spices/seasoning, bathing soap and shampoo, extra dish soap, extra trash bags, sun tan lotion/sun block and beach gear.

We spent a lovely week in Port Aransas. After the check-in problems, all was well with the Condo and our stay. I received a message from the VRBO link saying the check-in procedure would be sent to me one day before our arrival, but we never received any check-in procedure or codes. When we arrived at the Condo I had to call the reality company that manages this property, but there was no answer in the office. I left a call back voice mail. About a half hour later I received a call, but she would not believe who I am, and would not give me any codes. Eventually after a long list of information she gave me the door code to get into the Condo. I talked to a fellow in the next condo and he said he had the same problem. After we got in, the condo was clean and everything worked the way it should.

This is a fantastic place to stay that exceeded our expectations. Looks exactly like the pictures. Updated, beautifully decorated and so clean. This was the perfect amount of space for my husband and me for a week.

Delightful place, will never stay again

The property was adorable - it’s a cute as it is in the picture with great amenities and tons of plugs. I loved it. And then there was the “dog incident”. I was changing to go to the beach when someone banged on the door. I’m a woman, staying alone, and wasn’t expecting visitors. But I saw through the peephole that the visitor was wearing a T-shirt (though now I’m not sure if it was for the property or the rental agency) so I cracked the door to see what was happening. She said someone reported hearing a dog barking and asked if I’d heard it. I said no, she stood there awkwardly, and after I asked if there was something else, she said that was it. Not 10 minutes later, there was more banging on the door - even more aggressively than the first time. It was quite alarming. This time, it was a large man, wearing a T-shirt in the same color and with the same logo as the woman from earlier. He also asked if I’d heard a dog, then asked if I had one (I do, an 80-lb Labrador who was with my parents back home). After I said no, I was treated to a lecture on how the property isn’t dog friendly. I finally yanked the door open and told him to come in and be sure to check under the bed and in closets. The lecture didn’t stop. They apparently also never found the dog- I heard it bark a few times in the next few days. I basically spent the rest of the trip wondering if that guy was going to come beat down my door and accuse me of lying again. It was not relaxing at all.

Perfect spot

We absolutely loved it! Place was adorable and within walking distance of the beach. We brought along our wagon, and it worked great! Only thing that was a bit much was the constant sand on the floor. I swept daily and somehow found sand EVERYWHERE and boy did we try thoroughly rinsing ourselves before stepping inside. We are on the beach though, so it was expected. Kind of. lol We are already planning our return back.

Vacation in Port A

The condo was well equipped, plenty of supplies, has a dish washer which was nice and an icemaker in the freezer! Only complaints were the very slow draining shower which almost overflowed after 2 showers and the operation of the TV. Instructions would be helpful! We took a super quick drive to the beach and the weather was fantastic Waves a bit flat Thanks would recommend! Perfect condo for 2!

The accommodations were perfect for us. It had everything we needed. The location was walking distance to the beach, but much warmer by the pool then the beach. We hope to make it back next year.

Quaint Place

Clogged drain

The evening of our arrival we found the shower drying extremely slowly. We called the next morning, the response was pleasant & positive. When we got back from the near by beach, drain was drying perfectly. I could not of been more pleased by the response from mgmt. Thus is a good , clean & comfortable condo. We loved it

We loved everything about this property! It was extremely clean, the walk to the beach was short, and it was super close to the main road in Port Aransas. I accidentally locked myself out, and the management team responded very quickly! If you are considering renting this condo, you should definitely do it!

Nice overall, very clean room

overall, I would say that this room was a good value for the money. It was very well cleaned and well-kept. I appreciated the full kitchen with dishes, as we could cook our own gourmet meals with fresh, local ingredients. We did struggle to figure out how to operate the tv; instructions would be nice, and there were a few minor things that needed replaced, such as broken window blinds and the torn, dingy shower curtain. It was also necessary to go outside and close the window shutters, as the blinds, with no curtains, are not sufficient enough to give privacy for this ground-level room. A hairdryer in the bathroom is not provided, so bring your own. The management called promptly with our code and the check in/out could not have been easier. The bed pillows seemed very worn, but we slept moderately comfortable on the bed. This is a cute room for a good price and it served its purpose sufficiently.

Perfect for Us
