The cabin is very nice and cozy. Beautiful sunrises, and gorgeous view of Henderson Bay looking east. The dock is very nice and deep enough for a nice boat.
The house is clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. The host is responsive to inquiries. The view is awesome! We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises!
This was a perfect location for us with access biking to Wehle State Park for the playground and pickle ball and even frisbee golf, as well as the great hiking trails down to the lake. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the water sports available with the kayaks and paddle boards-and the float was an unexpected center point for the kids and adults! We were able to anchor our sailboat pretty close to the cottage one night and dinghy in; that was a plus! Bedrooms, kitchen, living area, all worked well. We expect we'll come back.
This home is beautiful and perfectly located. Besides the scenic views directly on the water, the owner had kayaks and paddle boards for us to use, and a water trampoline / raft that I could barely get my kids off of! Rachel was great at responding to my questions and everything we could possibly need was in the home. We had a lovely time and hope to come back!
We loved our stay. Rachel is a fantastic host. One of our favorite spots in Henderson that we have ever stayed at. The amenities are great. Having all of the kayaks, paddle board and dock make it a perfect spot to enjoy the water.
The property is beautiful and the deck is a dream. They have everything you could need. Including s'mores fixings! In fact we came to celebrate 3 birthdays and an anniversary and they had birthday candles and napkins to help us celebrate. We had a great time and I would definitely stay here again.
Overall a great place to stay. The location of the property and it’s size were more than adequate for our needs. The deck provides great views of the bay. Rachel is a very accommodating host and easy to communicate with. The only downside was the lower property (near the water) needed a better clean up and the supplies (pots/pans and towels could use an upgrade).
Location location location! The house is nice but the view and surrounding area is stunning. Felt like we were in nature. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Wonderful hosts
Enjoyed quiet area and home on beautiful Whites Bay.
Home and interior clean. Screen door was damaged. Beach area had weeds all between rocks.
l ake weed was piled up on beach. Plank was only way to access dock which could have had problems with someone falling off.
The view of the lake was spectacular, as were the sunrises! A nice cottage with a sizable kitchen, nice bedrooms and bathrooms and an enjoyable living room!
The house was clean and comfortable with a beautiful deck. Although we had the bad luck of an unusually windy week, it didn’t matter in terms of water activities in Whites Bay, as the house is really in the most protected corner.. On a day with 20 mph south winds, we were kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing all day on calm water. Rachel answered our questions promptly and her mom and dad were two doors down and a delight to meet and have as neighbors for a week. And Wehle State Park, just three minutes away, is a gem; we walked there everyday. The views of the sunrise from the house were spectacular and one needed to only go out a few hundred feet in the bay to enjoy sunsets, although paddling to the main lake or going to the park would really afford great views of the sunset. We slept well on our comfortable bed and the kitchen was well outfitted with all that was needed for us to prepare great meals. We’ll be back.
What a delightful, relaxing cottage! We traveled with our 4 kids (ages 2 through 10), and found this property to be perfectly stocked for what we needed: the beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped, there was a nice deck for lounging and family dinner, and still enough space for the kids to take a break from each other if they needed. We enjoyed the gradual slope of the shoreline to swim with the baby, and the bigger kids loved being able to jump off the dock. We explored the bay on the kayaks (the 2-person one was a big hit - kids can paddle while I relax, and then I can take over when their arms get tired!), and took an adventure to the nearby Totman Gulf to explore the creekbed and waterfall. The owners were easily accessible when we needed to contact them, and went out of the way to welcome our group with a goodie basket and warm greeting note. Overall, a great location and cottage to spend time with family. Thank you for such a relaxing week!
Rachel was super accommodating of my family. The house has an amazing view and is well kept. I appreciated the supplies for guests, including kayaks and firewood.
We went just after Labor Day. The surrounding cottages were not occupied so it was extremely quiet which is what we were looking for after a very busy summer. This cottage is easy to locate with a lot of nearby attractions that we did visit. At this property we had all the things we needed and it was very nice. It is as advertised. We will return if they'll have us in 2020.
