About this property

Lakefront Cottage at Salisbury Camp

Located on the shore of picturesque Hobbs Pond, the Cottage at Salisbury Camp is a 100 year old family-owned Maine camp, completely renovated with modern amenities. Wake up to stunning water views directly out your bedroom window, and see herons, eagles, and other wildlife from the lake views you’ll experience in the living and dining rooms.

A short drive from the coastal village of Camden and two hours from Acadia National Park, Hope is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway.

The Cottage at Salisbury Camp is a two-bedroom lakefront home on the shore of Hobbs Pond. The historic home has been newly remodeled, with a spacious kitchen, dining room that seats six, and a living room with stunning lake views, a comfortable sofa, and streaming TV with Netflix and other available content. Two separate bedrooms each with a queen bed provide comfortable sleeping space.

The home itself is surrounded by a generous yard and four Adirondack chairs, which are the perfect place to relax while taking in the view of the pond, A gas grill is reserved for your use, as well as two kayaks and one canoe. The Cottage shares lake access, a picnic table, and dedicated outdoor area with The Bunkhouse at Salisbury Camp (the guest property across the lane). A dedicated portion of the yard is reserved for guests staying in the cottage, and Adirondack chairs and a grill are reserved for your use. Please refer to the map for more information and reach out if you have any questions prior to booking.

Hope is located in a valley which makes cell reception difficult. We have included a land line telephone for use in the event of an emergency. We recommend activating wifi calling on your phone during your stay, which will allow you to easily make and receive calls while connected to the Cottage's wifi network.

Positively Wonderful

Of all the many, many vacation places we've rented, this was by far the prettiest, most restful, and beautiful spot we've experienced. The setting is gorgeous, the kayaking great, and only 7 miles to Camden and an easy walk to the historic Hope General Store. Thank you for sharing your family treasure with us.
