As you can see, we made some updates. Welcome to the new Private Room. Still Wendy's Place, she just calls it The Ferie now. The bed now faces the windows, allowing gorgeous morning light to flood in.
After——We now have a King size bed, with soft bamboo and cotton linens. The room also features a kitchenette with a coffee percolator, microwave, mini fridge, and triple filtered purified water throughout the whole property.
After——We added a hotel-style kitchenette tucked away to allow for more floorspace in the room. This room also is equipped with a Nespresso machine and dinnerware.
After——We have a small seating area for two and a 55" Roku Smart TV above the Yareakh Bistro Table designed by the MD Objective.
After——The bathroom features a single vanity, shower/tub combo with a walk in closet and open shelving for additional storage.

About this property

A private room with views of the garden and morning eastern light.

Sitting at the top of Page Springs Road since 2006, The Ferie has been home to various friends and family for the past 17 years. Still owned and operated by my moms, designed by my firm MD Objective, and collaborated and built by a lot of hands, you could say the property is a family affair.

The residences have been lovingly built, rebuilt, repaired, furnished, and embellished by many hands over the years with local materials and scavenged pieces. They are cute, cozy, well appointed, and can be a touch rustic with the occasional desert critter popping inside. While only one Residence remains open at this time, over the next few years we have dreams to have work-stay’s, events, and private concierge services and local amenities to offer. All residences feature filtered drinking water, bedding/towels, hot showers, and fast wifi.

The property is part of a dark sky community with night skies being perfect for stargazing, while daylight hours feature a diverse landscape varied with grasslands, rock formations, nearby desert creeks, and mountainous valleys. The communal spaces on the property are all exterior with no separation between residences.

Occasionally we do work on the property, collect fruit from the trees, and are in the process of turning The Ferie into a space for retreats, artists, writers, lovers, and creatives to share and cultivate community. Stay a while, slip into the rhythms of the land and feel free to say hello and let us know how social / solitary you might want your time to be.

The Perfect Oasis – A Must-Stay!

I stayed in The Garden Room at the Halladay House while attending the Sedona Arts Festival as a vendor, and it was absolutely perfect. After long event days, I wanted a quiet, beautiful space to unwind – and this was exactly that. The room is so thoughtfully designed, with an aesthetic that feels cozy and intentional, making it a true oasis. Every morning, I enjoyed my coffee on the patio, soaking in the peaceful surroundings. There are so many small, thoughtful touches throughout the space that made my stay even more delightful. If you're looking for a place that offers both comfort and charm, I highly recommend The Garden Room. I can’t wait to come back!
