Lovely welcoming host, amazing house with every comfort and thoughtfulness you could imagine. Amazing location. Close to skiing, hiking, and small town. Wish the weather were better when we went so we could have enjoyed the absolutely gorgeous backyard with roaring creek, firepit, and outdoor dining. Total 10/10!
The cabin in North Carolina was absolutely fantastic! Everything was impeccably organized, with thoughtful touches that went above and beyond to provide anything you could possibly need. The cleanliness was outstanding, making it feel so welcoming and comfortable. If you’re looking for the perfect cabin in NC, just minutes away from the ski resorts, look no further—this place is everything you could hope for and more!
The house was fully stocked and everything was labeled for easy access. Beds were comfortable and the furnishings are on the higher end. They also decorated for Christmas which made it cozy. We enjoyed our stay! Kimberly is an excellent host who communicated quickly and thoroughly.
The most well appointed rental we've stayed in. Owners accounted for everything you could possibly need on vacation and then some with clear and concise instructions. Proximity to Sugar Mountain and Banner Elk Restaurants were convenient...nothing more than 15 min drive. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This property was great. Very clean and nicely organized by the host. Everything you can thing of was available at the property- except for groceries-which was only a short ride away.
Great property! Will definitely be back!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Your attention to detail is amazing and it shows. This is the first VRBO we haven’t had to re clean when we arrived. It felt just as we keep things at home. Thank you again.
I was looking for a quiet little place to book for a family birthday, and this was a perfect match! Everything you could possibly want or need is meticulously labeled for easy use. Loved the information binders that showcased the area around us, places to eat, and even wines to try out. The creek in the back was so peaceful, and despite it raining most of the time, it just added to the relaxation and peacefulness.
Mrs. Kim is super sweet as well, and was easy to get in contact with for any questions. Definitely give this cabin a try!
Would give this property a 10 if we could!! Too many little extras to list from extra blankets and pillows galore to something as small as a s’mores kit to enjoy for the fire pit! Everything was labeled so there were no questions ( which doesn’t happen often) and all the rooms were SO comfortable! Extra clean and well decorated…. And all of this in a house that is convenient to Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest and Banner Elk right off of 105. Needless to say, we WILL be back!!!!!!
From the first contact with Kim to the last on checkout day, our stay was wonderful! The cabin is beautifully decorated inside and out. The horticulture was gorgeous! The deck and porches were very comfortable and amazing to sit out on with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Everything is labeled with directions. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable. Kim has a book that covers EVERYTHING inside her cabin, to things in and around the community. She even had a welcome basket filled with yummy treats. We seriously hated having to leave. It’s amazing that Kim allows people to rent this home. If it were mine, I’d have a hard time sharing it. The cabin looks brand new and is spotless! We will totally be back and are highly recommending it for anyone wanting a beautiful piece of serenity!!
Well appointed with everything you can think of. Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. So incredibly cozy and comforting. Lovely, lovely, lovely place, Set right next to the river. Would definitely rent again!!
We had a wonderful family getaway at the Creekside Cabin. The home is very comfortable, and we were highly impressed with the attention to detail. Everything is labeled, making it easy to find what you need. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and the home and property are lovely. Great location, convenient to Sugar Mountain, but we were there on an icy weekend, and the snow plow driver told us it was too slick of a hill for him to get down, so even with 4 wheel drive, we mostly parked at the top of the hill and walked back and forth. You wouldn’t want to attempt the drive down to the cabin without 4wd or chains when the roads are slick, but the VRBO listing warns of that. Great place to stay - we would definitely rent it again!
We stayed here with our whole family. All 6 of us + the dog enjoyed the house / property. Everything was organized and neatly labeled. Our 7 year old throughly enjoyed exploring the stream in the back yard. We had never been to this area, and enjoyed how central the cabin was. There are great hiking trails nearby and 3 ski mountains. There are plenty of things to do.
We had such nice family time. The Creek is beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The snow made everything that much more beautiful but also treacherous getting out. The two cars with us that weren’t 4 wheel drive needed to be towed out as it gets very icy and the road is steep. Bring chains! The jeep was fine. The property management is not very responsive or at least not for our stay. However they did apologize by email, but still never called or showed up in response to our phone calls. Just said someone would call back, which didn’t happen. Luckily the home is well labeled so we eventually found most of what we needed. The home is lovely, we would definitely rent again.
This was one of our most exceptional stays in the Banner Elk area. With a flowing creek and little waterfalls , observation deck, fire pit, great accommodations inside the home and more we are sure to make this a place for our friends annual reunion.
The preparations by the cleaning crew were outstading.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful mountain home. Extremely clean and very organized. The backyard by the creek was so relaxing and even better than the pictures. Thank you for a lovely vacation.
Property was very clean and organized ( detailed explanations on everything - which was helpful).
Only slight negative is last part of road to property is vey narrow and sketchy.
