It is conveniently located. There is a restaurant, a club and a general store directly behind the cabin. The beds were comfortable. The cabin was very clean with adequate towels and blankets. Please note that this is not a luxury cabin in a high class area. This is a real cabin to stay in when on a fishing trip in one of florida's top fishing areas or just a great quiet getaway. It would be advisable to take your groceries with you, as there are limited places to shop. The prices reflect that.
To start off, our reservation we had made over a year earlier, was cancelled one week before we were set to leave on our trip. The host had changed listing sites. He told us to cancel with the old one and reserve with the new one and he would honor the price we were quoted on the old one since the new site was an increase in cost. This never happened, even after messaging the host. He cheated us out of 266. Then the place was not clean, there were tiny ants and a cockroach inside, it was not organized, missing dish towels, wash cloths, and hand towels for the bathroom. The water backed up every time we used it in the shower and sinks. There was a big sign in the bathroom not to flush your toilet paper. We felt like we were in a third world country! No microwave available and the washer and dryer did not work. The furniture was minimal and very worn and uncomfortable. This place is listed for sale but does not seem to be getting maintained. It sufficed but we would never come here again. It was not as described and the pictures made it look better than it was.

You are not allowed to flush toliet paper
We had to call to ask for wash cloths and hand towels. We asked for dish cloths and dish towels too and were told they only use paper towels and the old sponges. The accordion style shower door was broken and moldy. We bought a cheap shower curtain and draped it over the top. We also bought dish towels. Several lightbulbs are burnt out. The ceiling fans are way out of balance. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. The inside of the cabinets are so-so. The seals of the fridge and freezer are very moldy. I know this was in Florida, but the mold was so bad in the AC units that my mom became ill. We washed the filters (they were caked on grime and mold) but you can see the mold inside the units. We left a day early (should have left earlier) and checked into a hotel room
Small, tired, poorly-insulated single-wide two room mobile home with two small window air conditioners inadequate to cool unit. No heat. Ants in kitchen. Sufficient for short fishing trip with excellent location and boat dock included.
Place was nice, but very disappointed. After having to cut short a long awaited fishing trip a day early because of the incoming storm/hurricane, neither the property manager or VRBO would refund the one night. Both said the other had to do it, and neither one would.
Booked and paid for property thru vrbo. Sent multiple emails for check in information. Finally, day of check in @ 11:30 after finding owners' phone number and calling and leaving messages - owner calls back to tell me the unit is overbooked and someone's already staying there. He says it must be a "glitch" in Vrbo's system. Had to scramble to find a place to stay where everywhere was already booked, and paid more than twice as much. Beyond ridiculous.
We loved this place. It’s a little rustic but had everything you need, and the location is great for exploring the Everglades.
I would certainly stay here again in ever back in the area. Thank you!

All we needed
The cabin was as pictured
But we had no check in info before we arrived just a note that we could check in early.
So we had to email the owner/property manager for lock combo.
Unsettling because there aren’t many options if we couldn’t get into our room in Everglades city.
Fortunately he responded within 15-20 minutes
Which seemed like forever.
When we got in the ac was off. South Florida is hot in May… took most of the evening to cool off. Stay was uneventful, but again no instructions about check out until an email at 11:13am telling us we had an 11:00am checkout and further instructions which were to late for us to follow!
We were leaving at that point!
Other Vrbo properties communicated necessary information such as this as soon as our payments posted, so I think they need to provide more info earlier.
I could have (and in retrospect should have) requested said info before we left home.
But I feel that should have been his responsibility not mine
Place was cute. In my opinion it was missing a toaster, microwave, and a kettle to boil water. The pool was locked with no key provided so we had to hop the fence for a couple days until a neighbor noticed and unlocked it for us. I had asked about it but Luis did not resolve the issue.
There were no linens for the kitchen (dishcloths or tea towels) which I brought to Luis' attention and he said sorry. We had to dry the dishes with paper towel. You cannot flush toilet paper so that all has to go in a trash can in the bathroom. Shower doesn't drain well but it worked. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction on the road right beside the place during our stay.
All in all, was fine for the price.
We had a great time and the property was great. Few nitpicky things. But overall nice place, nice location, and easy check-in.

Very reasonably priced.
Simple but functional.
Propane tank was empty but no huge deal.
If you like the concept of camping with out the hassles this place is for you. It was a perfect spot to explore the Everglades and the Diving Pelican is a stones throw .. literally 1 minute walk.
Everglades City ... what a lovely little town.
