The Space:
Introducing a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom sanctuary of pure enchantment located in the heart of Upper Delaware. This captivating fusion of antique charm and elegance features a large gunite pool with a spa-pool, an outdoor fire pit, and lush private gardens spanning 6.5 acres that unveil their magic as soon as you arrive.
Approaching the home, the main house stands tall with its antique stone walls. Steeped in history as the former grounds of the Hartwood Post Office, it has been transformed into a stunning modern home. Here, fresh interior design ideas coalesce seamlessly with the home's charming rustic aura.
Sitting on 6.5 acres of lush private gardens, you can enjoy walking the meandering paths that lead you through this botanical paradise with a beautiful natural pond, completing picture-perfect vistas. Seating areas scattered throughout invite you to savor the stunning views that stretch to the horizon.
Alfresco dining on the open terrace with its beautiful pergola, where nature and foliage create the backdrop for unforgettable moments. The partially covered terrace hosts the BBQ grill for easy cooking and dining together. Gather around the outdoor fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars.
In the landscaped gardens, a stunning large gunite (unheated) pool awaits with a waterfall feature and a hot tub. Enjoy a refreshing swim or soak in the hot tub section with jets, blower, and lights. Throughout the main home, spaces designed for connection and relaxation await. Guest Access:
*Guests will have complete private access to the main house and the pool only. Guests do not have access to the Pool House/ Green House behind the pool or the Guest House/ Guest House Pond area.
Caretakers and Landscaping Schedules:
- Pool
Ric at TriState Pools takes care of the pool and comes every Thursday or Friday morning to vacuum and be sure the water is perfectly balanced, and everything is working well. The pool is saltwater, so we reduce the use of harsh chemicals
- Lawns
The lawns are maintained by Erik who usually mows and weed whacks on Monday and Tuesday afternoons (depending on weather) usually between 3 and 6
- Gardens
The gardens are maintained by Bonnie and Dodo – Bonnie comes every other Thursdays between 9:30 and 3 (she is local) and Dodo travels in every 3 weeks and stays in the gardener’s cottage on the back 1/4 of the property for 3 days. She is very respectful and works from 9-5 in the gardens and you will barely even know she is there.
The gardeners are currently schedule to visit the property during the following weeks for the 2024 season:

Getting Around:
Stone Arches is just about 2 hours from New York City, and you'll definitely want a car to get there and around the area.
In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.
Other Things to Note:
Pool and Hot tub will reopen on April 21, 2024 until mid-to-late September. Please inquire if you need specific dates.
