Romantic Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary in this cabin and loved every minute of it! We're suckers for cute woodland animals, so the myriad of bear decorations throughout the house and the cute raccoon painting in the downstairs bathroom were, in our eyes, perfect adornments for this mountainside cabin. Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival, the bed was comfy, and the views from the porch when unwinding on the rocking chairs or in the hot tub were heavenly. WiFi and TV signals are both excellent and we had no problems with streaming or watching TV. Also, it is only a short drive into town and the National Park. For future guests, I just want to note these two things. First, be careful stepping into and out of the tub/shower in the downstairs bathroom. The step down into the tub is pretty steep. Second, the roads leading up to the cabin are narrow, windy, and steep. There will be plenty of drivers who won't leave enough room or not take turns wide enough, making it a bit awkward when there is oncoming traffic. I'd love to come back to Little Black Bear Retreat in the future! 10/10

Great cabin

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We had a little issue and it was taken care of immediately. The only bad thing was having a Dish satellite on the cabin and only getting four channels. We had a great stay!

Beautiful sunsets

We loved the views from the deck of this property. We had the most beautiful sunsets every night. The A/C in this cabin had us feeling cool even when the temp outside was in the 90s. Perfect cabin for a romantic get a way for a couple. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because of minor inconveniences like only having one pretty crappy knife to cook with, the a/c vent by the sink was loose and was a little annoying when trying to cook or do dishes. The spiral staircase to the bedroom wasn't too bad, and the bed was soooooo comfortable. Getting to the cabin is a little difficult because of the smaller roads and steep hills, but it's totally worth it.

Our Stay

Our stay overall was good. The pros were the cleanliness, a stocked kitchen, nice porch with good views and the hot tub. We stayed over Thanksgiving and enjoyed the cute table and all the conveniences of the kitchen. It also wasn't too far from town so that was nice. Our biggest con was the bed downstairs was terribly uncomfortable and made it very difficult to sleep. We also wished there was a way to stream tv upstairs not just downstairs since there was no cable tv.

Great Couples Getaway!!!

We loved everything about this cabin. It had such a rustic, cozy feel. The pictures didn’t do it justice, it was way better!! The motif was fabulous. Every single thing we needed was there for us! It was extremely clean. The view was breathtaking. We loved the fireplaces and don’t even get me started on the hot tub!! We looked forward to it at the end of each day after walks and bopping around town. I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for an unforgettable visit!

Gorgeous!!

It was just like the pictures! It was super clean and the view from the back porch was AMAZING! It's very quiet and the hot tub was great after longs days of hiking and exploring the town. It's close to Pigeon Forge, but a little further away from Gatlinburg. A+++

Loved everything about it😍…the amazing views sitting in the rocking chairs or swinging on the porch swing…close to town…super clean cabin…all the super cute decor...coming back each night from a fun day of activities enjoying the hot tub which we did every night...they only thing we did not like was the spiral staircase...was a lil rough on us old folks but we made it through it...always worried that it would not be as nice as the pics on the website but it was even nicer than the pics☺️…would definitely reserve again and highly recommend for a couple for 2…😊
