Excellent location, Unit needs updates
Location perfect. Walkable restaurants/shops. Great beach, easy access. Nearby snorkeling & turtles. Property great…enjoyed pool, hot tubs, fooseball, table tennis, pickleball & tennis. Easy to walk & beautifully landscaped. Kids said twin beds were comfortable. Unit host was communicative and helpful.
The unit is okay. Space for 5 to sleep, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lanai. Good water pressure. But desperately in need of updating. Carpet is filthy & old. Appliances, furniture, cupboards are all very worn, sticky feeling, outdated. Some furniture is too big for the space & just collecting dust. No washcloths or hand towels in the primary bathroom…we borrowed from the only two downstairs. No extra toilet paper. There’s a missing glass panel in the lanai window so hot humid air constantly comes in even with AC on. Lanai closet is full of beach gear but we didn't use any, at a glance appears well used. King size bed is incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable. All pillows are lumpy and worn. Kitchen cupboards sticky, still had coffee in the pot (which is 4 cup, not full size), didn't use the stove/oven but it was still greasy and streaked on top.
We didn't spend much time in the unit, and none of the issues are things the hosts can resolve in a 3 day stay. It needs a renovation, or rented for a MUCH lower price.
For context, we travel often, staying in resorts, hotels, rentals. We had family stay just two doors over in a cleaner, renovated unit for $200 less. Could be great with updates
