Welcome to “On Flying Pond”! All year round, fun for everyone. Host a family or group getaway! New private Dock for guests boating! This home is meant for multiple families. An Eagle's View with “The Loons” on 200+ ft of private pristine, clear waterfront. Boat rental and dock slip available! Weddings Welcome! Sleeps 16 total, with Tiny House Optional for 2 more guests. Beds: 2 Queen, 1 King, 2 double, 2 full pullout Sofa’s, 1 full Murphy bed, 2 Twins beds, a crib, 1 outdoor 4 season hot tub, 1 indoor whirlpool tub, n1 theatre room, 2 fire pits, 26 private acres. *4WD/AWD highly recommend in winter months*. Plenty of parking, camping, 6 Kayaks, Lake mats, PRIVATE guest dock for boating and floats included! Come back to soak in the view, overlooking Flying Pond on this amazing lakefront wonderland! Fall Foliage is an artists delight.
Coffee at sunrise and wine at sunset -it’s an absolutely stunning view. And the LOONS!
This is an excellent place for a family reunion, event or any other type of get-together needing to sleep 16 people. We have;
3 bedrooms upstairs with 1 King, 1 queen and 1 full over twin bunk bed. On the ground, ADA access, walk-out level, this one big open room. This room has 2 new Queen Sofa beds, 1 Full size Murphy Bed, 1 Queen size daybed w/ twin trundle and 2 floor mattresses and 2 Cots stored in the closet. We also have 1 travel crib.
There are 2 movie rooms, 2 hot tubs (yes, two!), 2 fire pits, direct lake access and living, boat rentals, Skiing, Acadia National Park, direct access to ITS snow mobile trails, bring the dogs, friends, family and kids (if you want)! Or enjoy a very romantic getaway at On Flying Pond. Upper level and ground level are available individually to rent as long as the entire house isn’t already rented. Truly something for everyone!
Kents Hill School, College Graduations, Camp Loral, lakeFront, 30-40 mins to skiing/snowboarding, ITS trails for snowmobile access, Ice Fishing, snowmobiling, Dogs welcome, Kids welcome, College Parties are a “no go”. Weddings Welcome for an additional fee.
Stop at The Lighthouse Wine and Seafood market on your way for amazing lobster, craft beer, wine and more! You won’t regret it
Flying Pond Variety gas station and convenience store is a half mile away and great for all basic needs. There’s also a deli!
Located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, on 200 feet of private, pristine waterfront and 26 acres of private trails, q45 mins to Sugarloaf, 20-25 minutes to I95 in Augusta, close to University of Maine, Near Summer Camp Laurel, Camp Vega, Camp Winnebago, Kents Hill School, 45-1 hr to many ski resorts, when lake is frozen, property connects directly to ITS trails for snowmobiling!
Well behaved and house trained Furry friends are welcome! Upon approval, dogs are allowed on the main level of the house where the deck overlooks the property and lake. Please gate off or close the pocket door to the downstairs as its carpeted.
Winter Weather
Please check the weather and note weather such as snow or ice requires 4WD for driveway.
Please respect my home & also tidying up as you normally would at your own home. Do your dishes, extra laundry, etc. during your stay if staying for more than 3 days. Pets must be approved prior to booking and must be up to date on vaccinations prior to arrival. A copy of your pets vaccinations will be required for the safety of all furry guests.
***All pets must stay on the upper level due to carpeted floors and radiant floor heating on the lower level pretty please and thank you.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets please
Guests are responsible for any/all damages caused by your pet, your friends, kids, partner, family and yes, even you!
Please be mindful and don’t leave your pet unattended outside in the dog play area for extended periods, especially if it’s over 75 degrees (it’s a shady area) or below 40 degrees. It can get very windy and cold during the winter months.
All Guests/bookings agree that the host is not responsible for any injuries to anyone staying or visiting. Pet(s) or for the death of your pet(s) during your stay. All/Any “day visitors” must be approved prior to stay.
Worth Noting: There are MANY animals and birds around that can scoop up a small animal/pet. Porcupines and dogs don’t mix! Use the dog play area and clean up after pets. Be mindful of hunting seasons and wear the orange vests when in the woods during this time. weddings and Events have an extra fee.please inquire.

What makes this property unique
The sunrise and sunsets are different every day! Even in stormy weather, it’s a beautiful getaway. You can hear the Loons, see Eagles flying overhead, the lake is crystal clear CLEAN and fed with natural spring water. It’s amazing.
