WOW!

Just returned from staying at this gem of a place in a quaint neighborhood in the center of ALL the greatest sights tourist love to see. We literally walked to everything we were interested in seeing and it was all very close to the charming apartment. The rental was spacious, clean, cozy, and had everthing we needed to be comfortable and happy. Our pillows and comforters were comfy and kept us nice and warm. All of the positive things other reviews mentioned we agree with especially that Mira was kind, responsive, readily shared history and information, he also picked us up from the main station and dropped us back there when we had to leave. The price for this property was a huge value considering the location and condition. We hope we can return to Prague someday and when we do we will plan ahead so we can also revisit this home away from home.

Amazing!

Great apartment and location! Mira was very responsive with all communication. We booked this apartment last minute...and chose it based on the good reviews. Would stay here again and book with Mira again. The stairs were tough after a long day of sightseeing...but the apartment was so comfortable and spacious...the long walk up was worth it! And the view from the bedroom was amazing!

Romantic place in Prague

Okay, there is no elevator and you'll have use stairs. Think of it as a little exercise. If you can handle that, you will be rewarded with very nice, quiet, well furnished, rustic and romantic apartment. The location is fantastic. Price is reasonable. What's not to like? The living room with a large, sloping window gives feel of an artist's studio. In the kitchen is everything you'll need for a short stay. Miroslav, who owns and runs the place is very helpful. I stayed there for a few days in October and the next time I'll travel to Prague, I'll call Miroslav again. Hope the place will be available.

great place

we stayed for 5 nights. Great location.. cannot get better than this. Mira and colleagues were so accommodating since we got to Prague so early in the morning. It is on the top floor which meant you have to go up the stairs to the fourth floor- quiet an exercise :). There was no wifi in the apartment which meant more family time and less texting :)! Prague is very beautiful and packed with tourists but the location of the house was the best close to everything but still peaceful and quiet Thanks Mira

Perfect Location & What A View!

My niece and I stayed in this apartment which is in the heart of the historic district with surprising views of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle from the bedroom. Lots of space, windows, and light. It's also been painted which adds much more character and warmth than shown. We really didn't need all of the space, but it was welcome after traveling almost two weeks together. The beds were a little hard and could use better linens/blankets, but that doesn't even warrant a lower rating. It's also four flights of stairs, no lift, so be ready. Because it rained the entire time, having the washer and dryer was awesome. We were also pleasantly surprised and mesmerized by the neighborhood and the proximity to everything. Mira and his family were very responsive and accommodating. The pickup and drop-off were a huge plus and a relief. We also left something in another city, had it mailed to Mira and because it arrived late to Prague, he ended up having to mail the item to us back in the States. I will definitely stay in any of Mira's apartments on Liliova when back in Prague - no question.

Bells, Birdsong and Views

I was left with the dreamy impression that Prague is a place of bells and birdsong, because besides the delicious peace of being so high above the city, that is what we listened to every day. This apartment was delightful. Three of us stayed in the apartment for a week at the end of April and early May. It was absolutely perfect for our needs: one of us took the spacious bedroom and the two others took one bed in a living room nook and the other took the bed in another cozy nook beyond the kitchen with its own window and chair next to the bed. That still left the fold out couch! There is a gorgeous view of the castle from the bedroom and lots of other interesting views from the many other windows. There are skylights too, so it is very bright and airy. We were very impressed with the quality of the remodeled apartment (it is in an antique building with stone stairs) especially the quality of the windows and blinds and the ease with which we could open and close them. All the amenities were just right for us: kitchen with stove, microwave and fridge, washer/dryer and a bright and convenient bathroom with separate water closet with toilet. Granted, the two of us who are older took our time on the flights of stairs, but we decided it was worth it for the peace and quiet, great central location and the breathtaking views. We could walk everywhere from the apartment. Meeting the owner, Mira, was a bonus. He speaks beautiful English and loves to share his insights on life in the Czech Republic. We learned a lot from him! Mira also answered our emails pronto and he has plenty of other people working for him who helped take care of us while we were there. The airport pick up and drop off is a huge bonus. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful place

I stayed at the place for five days in January and it was a wonderful experience! The apartment is super spacious and comfortable with lots of light and wonderful views of Prague Castle. The location is hard to beat: I was close to everything, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square etc. etc, all the great places of the historic center. The owner, Mira, did everything to make my stay comfortable. He picked me up at the airport, he took me to the airport, he gave recommendations on places to eat and is generally very friendly and responsive. I had an awesome experience in Prague with this place and I would definitely recommend it.

I'm Mira K., owner and property manager. I have a very personal interest in this property. Originally built in 1896, my wife’s family were the owners of this apartment house, when in 1948 it was confiscated by the communist government and they were forced to leave. But following the 1989 Velvet Revolution, it was returned to the family. Starting in 2005, many of the apartments have been completely remodeled (with me as director and sometimes, demolition expert and trash man). The house’s nickname is Liliovka (Little Lily), but officially it is called “U zlatého šípu” (House at the Golden Arrow). I was in the hotel business for many years, so I know how to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
