On the west side of the island, this vacation rental is tucked away from the busy roads - a location quiet enough to enjoy the breeze on the porch and take leisurely bike rides around the neighborhood. It is approximately a four-minute walk to the nearest beach access at 39th Place West and under half a mile by car. With this property, you are sandwiched between the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, close to amazing views everywhere you turn!

Containing shades of serene blue and gray on the walls, Kraken Kove is bound to make you feel at home! A bright and beachy kitchen features bamboo countertops and includes all major appliances needed to make a coastal meal. There is a washer and dryer, so you don't leave with loads of laundry on your to-do list.

In the living area, plenty of seating provides for an enjoyable night in. You’ll love looking around at the tasteful nautical decor. The dining area has four seats, but the house has multiple extra chairs for your convenience. This property has lots of space for you to enjoy the fresh air! A screened-in porch is an ideal locale to relax in the rockers, morning coffee in hand. The second part of the porch contains even more seating and an outdoor dining area. Watch the sunset as you savor dinner as a family!

Do you ever pack a book only to never even open it on vacation? This property has a solution: the most adorable book nook is here, so you can pick a book and return it later! There is a completely enclosed backyard for your dogs (this vacation rental welcomes up to two dogs per reservation) or energetic kids! The driveway is large enough for multiple cars and select boats. You can enjoy a drink on your boat in the nearby Intracoastal Waterway.

A short distance away is 30th Place West Dock, open to the public for fishing or launching kayaks and canoes. Lonerider Brewpub is a must-visit restaurant on the island's west side, with direct views of the water and a fantastic menu. A plethora of other activities are available with a short drive.

You won't run out of things to do with wireless internet access, televisions in every bedroom and living room, board games and more. Enjoy the comforting atmosphere indoors and the neighborhood feel outdoors, surrounded by sea shores and the Intracoastal.

Great place

We loved our week here! Very convenient location, close enough to the beach, and also a quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed. Also very pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Horrible experience

Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with several piles of dog poop that had not been picked up by previous renter. There was no scooper or apparatus on site so we did our best pick up with bags so our dogs wouldn’t be drawn to it. Once we got to the front door, the paint peeling off onto the floor wasn’t the greatest look & the window to the porch was covered in “lick marks” from dogs. The front porch is nice in the early morning/late evening but in need of serious cleaning. Once settled we realized that there wasn’t a Roku remote like on all of the other tvs (presumably lost) so the only service available was Netflix. There was an ant trap in one window sill which we quickly realized ants were around all of the windows & food couldn’t be kept on a counter near them. We kept anything like that on the dining room table to keep it away from the ants. Both showers were clogged so you stand in a pool of dirty water to shower & we didn’t find that out until that time came. The guest tub was due to hair never being cleaned from drain & master we assume was from sand over time. AC went out on 2nd day & it took 8 hours to get a window unit. Not until the next mid-day & 3 more units did we start to get the house to cool. We went the whole week in late August without proper AC & the units were impossible to hear tv’s & sleep with due to their noise. Our trip sucked & we happily left a day early. 4 calls & 1 office visit was made during the week so this isn’t just an invalidated rant
