Great rental location but disappointing...
While cosmetically the house looked fine and the space was what we had expected for our 9 person, three day, family reunion, I have to rate this property a 2 out of 5. There are serious issues with this property that should be corrected before it is offered for new rental. The most serious issue is Black mold in closets upstairs and Black mold around HVAC vents upstairs. These problems must be corrected immediately for the safety of future renters. There are also several things that need to be fixed: Bathroom fan broke in hall bath upstairs, Drain blocked in upstairs hall bathtub, Refrigerator does not make ice, HVAC vents are very dirty, Dryer does not work as it is blocked with lint and No dressers in any bedrooms. Additional items to address include: Not enough coffee mugs for a house for 9 people, Single cup Keurig is inadequate for a 9 person house and no toaster. It was also an unpleasant surprise to find an Industrial size dumpster in the side yard, We should have been warned in advance that we would have this eyesore 30 feet from front door.
The space itself was comfortable to sleep and dine and the location was wonderful, as we could walk to downtown Georgetown. The host was quick to respond to our many questions and concerns about the property.
