About this property

Quiet, convenient 2-bedroom house in town and yet near the river and trails.

Welcome to 'Mi Casa es su Casa!'
If you're staying in Rochester for a couple days or a couple weeks, this humble home is an excellent and convenient value.
Situated in a quiet little neighborhood between historic downtown Rochester and the retail mecca of our miracle mile! And there's the River and City woods so close!
My daughter is now off to college! and I'm now living up at the other house, but I don't want to sell this solid home, so I've decided to make 'Mi Casa' available to you,, on VRBO!
Enjoy!
-----Several UPDATES- for 2025! --The small bedroom now has a Queen AND a Twin! --And the living room has a fold-out couch to sleep a sixth person.
--Also, there are new phone and electronics charging ports in the office area AND in the kitchen near the door.

There are the expected necessities in the fridge, and other basic groceries in the cabinets, but you'll need to get your primary groceries at your choice of SuperMarkets less than a mile away (Market Basket, Hannafords, Super Walmart).
A large map in the dining room shows Rochester's dining and shopping locations. It's really very nice being this close to everything, yet also have the river and conservation lands next door! Hanson Pines and the conservation trails are just across the river (footbridge) just 400' away. Canoe and Kayaks are available for your use in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
Please write something into the Guest Book!
Gas Grill is in the back yard.
220Volt (Level 2) EV voltage is available to you, but please leave ca$h for your voltage!
There is plenty of driveway for two (2) cars. More than four cars is considered an 'event' and is not allowed in the guidelines of VRBO, but just 'Message' me to let me know what's going on if you're having a gathering.
The welcome sheet on the dining table has QR codes for easy scan access to videos to show how to use kitchen appliances and more.
--Please, as with all VRBOs, replace (or leave cash) for the beverages and foods that you consume.
The laundry is in the basement. Laundry hours are between 8 am and noon, 7 days a week.
Pets are allowed but please bring a pet blanket or bed,, (and/or there is a Pet Bed here for you) AND do NOT allow pets onto the beds. Simple rules. Thank You.

NOTE: Starting in May! on most Tuesday and Wednesday nights, I will need to stay in apartment B (Basement). The basement apartment is entirely separate and independent, including the parking and the entrance, AND it's just for Tues/Weds and only between 6 pm and 7am. There are two layers of doors that lock from your side for extra security. Feel free to come downstairs and knock on 'Apt B' if you'd like. Otherwise, you won't even know I'm there!

If your profile is blank, please fill it out before requesting a reservation. Thank You.

Great location amd Cozy!

We stayed to visit family in nearby Milton. This home is very clean and well stocked. The beds are super comfortable and the linens are cozy. The ecclectic artwork, antiques and beautiful rocks and plants really make you feel at home and gives the place a lot of personality. We loved the close proximity of the Cocheco river and stores for general needs. We will definitely be back when visiting family again.ofpersonality

Fantastic!

This was such a a nice place to stay and we couldn't have been happier. The house was very clean and comfy. It was exactly as described on VRBO and the location made it convenient for shopping and dining out. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely look at this property the next time we travel north.

Perfect Place

Great location, everything you could possibly need is minutes away. The house is very clean, and we'll equipped. In a very quiet neighborhood. Huge flat screen, great sunroom, games, and cards, a wine selection and so much more. Harvey is easy to get in touch with, and a great communicator. Flawless stay, will be coming back again.

Rochester House

The house is wonderful, very bright and clean. The Kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was extra warm and cozy in the early morning, which I really appreciated. We especially loved the sunroom for sitting and enjoying wine and cribbage. I actually forgot the wine and was happy to see a selection on the counter which we enjoyed and left a few bucks for. We went for a walk and only a minute away is a beautiful foot bridge over the river and to pretty walking trails. We'll definitely want to stay here when we return to Rochester. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

I'm from the NH Seacoast and have been here most of my life. I'm a rock-hound am always collecting souvinir stones when I travel.
My daughter is now off to college and I've decided to make my place available for VRBO! Maybe even AirB&B. It's that simple. I'm still working in Rochester, but I don't need to live here too! I'm typically about thirty minutes away, so if you need any help with anything, I can be there quick enough.

Why they chose this property

This is a quiet neighborhood. There's a kayak/canoe access to the river which is just 400' away and this part of the Cocheco River really is beautiful. During the weekdays, you can hear the train which is on the other side of town, but it's a nice familiar sound. And Rochester now has everything that anybody needs! All of the conveniences are here now!

What makes this property unique

It's not on a lake! So the price is great! And it's quieter without the boats and jetskiis screaming around outside your window! Convenience, comfort, and quiet. And then there's the sunroom, I do love that room!
