Place was clean and convenient location.Enjoyed the hot tub downstairs. The walls are thin so you can hear everyone stomping outside the hallway in their ski boots - bring ear plugs and you will be fine.
A great spot for just a few people in a great location for the price. Only issue was there were some dirty dishes from the previous renters but that’s is housekeepings fault not the owner. Overall great place to be when you aren’t on the slopes!
We enjoyed our stay. We are the type to spend almost all our time off the slopes in the room relaxing and we cook our own meals. The furniture and stove could use some updating but the price we paid compared to some of the other units we've stayed in at Snowshoe was fair. Location right next to the Soaring Eagle lift is pretty awesome.
We had a good stay at Snowshoe and we were very happy that the property was within the lodge building so we could checkin rent skis and take an elevator to the unit all at once. It is very convenient to slopes/ski in and otherwise great. The one and only issue we had was a very uncomfortable mattress, which had us depart a day early because we (two adults) couldn't sleep because of the worn low spot in the middle. We recommend the host upgrade the mattress and then it would be perfect. For the kids we brought air mattresses, so we did not test the hidabed.
Not as much going on in the Summer vs Winter of course, most of the building/restaurant closed this time of year. Other places close by had some activity. However it was quiet, and clean. Was there for the Cass Train Ride. Suited us just fine for a place to stay 2 nights.
Property had all the essentials, coffee/tea maker, pots and pans, cooking utensils etc. Place was extremely convenient to Soaring Eagle lift literally dropped you right at the door;) Very clean room, enjoyed our stay!
If there are two or three in your group, and you're here to ski in the day and relax in the evening, this unit is a great value. There were 2 of us, and the room was plenty roomy enough. For three it's probably OK too, but with 4 you might be bumping into each other a bit. It's rustic, but clean. You're probably here to ski anyway, right? The owner left about 20 K-cups and some hot cocoa packets in the kitchen, that was nice. Starting in the 2023-24 season, the area has paid parking. But, with lot B, you can take the lanyard from the room and use it to enter the B lot (you don't have to leave the entry card in your car). Walls are a bit thin in the building, but during our December stay, there weren't many occupants, so the halls were pretty quiet at night. If 2-3 of us return, would definitely rent this unit again!
