Excellent Location and Value!

Property was amazing for our needs! Secluded off the main road, this updated pet friendly home offers everything needed to cook, clean, or just relax. Close to ALL local attractions in the area. I found the home to be clean and organized while the yard is open, well maintained, and mainly bug / critter free! Rental was a value for what you get... was very appreciative of what was offered!

Relaxing isolation

If you're a nature lover this is the place you want. We saw a variety of wildlife, including 7 deer on the front lawn one night. At night the skies were clear and dark which was ideal for the telescope we brought. We also took advantage of the fire pit for a couple of nights and viewed the aurora borealis, which was a first for me. The only downside was we had to replace the batteries in both smoke detectors because the low battery chirp drove us nuts.

Don’t Recommend

I give this home two stars only because the house is nicely secluded as stated. When you walk in the home, you are overcome by the smell of cow manure, which seemed to be even stronger in the master bedroom. It’s obvious they tried to hide it because they had a wax melt on. The house isn’t clean either. When I reserved the home and checked again while at the home, it is stated that there is internet. There was no internet and barely any cell service. I contacted the owner about the internet but never received a response. Still, even days after our stay, I haven’t received anything from them at all. The beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The sheets and blanket had a musty odor. We were there while it was cold. It was 60 degrees in the house and we were unable to use the thermostat to turn it up. We found that we had to turn on the breaker to the furnace. Personally, we will never stay here again. We feel as though you can get a better house. After traveling 14 hours, all we wanted to do was have a place to relax. Instead, we felt uncomfortable from the filth and smell that probably followed us everywhere we went.
