Perfect little cottage for a family vacation. Very clean and the pictures provided are extremely accurate. Well stocked kitchen with everything you would need. The only thing the house didn't have was beach towels, so be sure to bring your own. Nice dock with great fishing right outside the door. Host was extremely responsive to any and all our needs! Hope to be bringing my family back for another stay!!
We had such a wonderful stay. It was our annual family vacation so we had adults, a 9 yr old, and an infant. The house accommodated us very well. We have 2 22ft boats and the docking was ample. The swimming off the dock was deep, weed free, and accessible with a ladder.
The deck seating and dining furniture were super comfortable. A/C in the bedrooms was very helpful as we stayed during a hazy, hot, humid week. One thing to note: the loft bedroom does not have AC so a fan is needed if hot.
The island is beautiful and the residents extremely friendly. We also loved the location. Its a short ride to Clayton, TI Park, the Bridge, Eel bay, etc.
Thanks Dayna and Louis! Looking forward to returning.
What a fun week on the river! This was our first trip to the 1000 Islands and it did not disappoint. Grenell Island is full of history and charm - we loved exploring the walking path and checking out all the old pictures in the Community House while our kids played foosball. We had a great time jumping off the dock, reading in the Adirondack chairs, having dinner on the deck and meeting all of the island pets. The house was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. The ladder to the 4th bedroom loft was a bit tricky to navigate so my husband and I opted to stay in the bunk room with our kids instead - which worked out just fine. Thank you, Louis and Dayna, for sharing your home with us!
