When location is important but on the water isn’t The Fish Nest Chatueau fits the bill! Located right in the town of Onamia this vacation rental is within walking distance of a bar/restaurant, cafe, flower shop and more! ATV friendly area with direct access to the Soo Line Trail and multiple other snowmobile/ATV/ORV trails nearby! Our big area attraction, famous Mille Lacs Lake, is just 3 miles down the road and offers some of the best world class fishing opportunities nationwide! Duck hunting/kayaking? We have Lake Onamia and Rum River access less than 1 mile. let’s not forget about our multiple state parks and state forests nearby either!
The House makes a great home base for whatever your adventures are. With 5 beds and sleeping room for 8 this home is great for groups big and small. The kitchen has all the usual stove/oven/microwave/fridge/coffee maker etc. Washer and drier on site. Plenty of parking with roadside parking upfront and room for multiple vehicles out back (or three trucks with trailers). Warm in the winter and central AC keeps it cool in the summer! WIFI

As a local fishing guide i often had clients looking for a place to stay the had the comforts of home without the lakeshore rental pricing. As a strong local community member i thought this rental right on main street in Onamia offered a fantastic location for our guests. One of my favrite activities is fishing of course but there are so many great things to do in this area that i enjoy - mainly just being outside!

Being near a bar and local cafe right on main street gives you a great feel and experince of small town Minnesota.
What makes this property unique
Location Location Location! Being near the Soo Line Trail - down the street from lake Onamia and the Rum River and only three miles from World Famous Mille Lacs Lake. did i mention the 10,000s of acres of state forrest and WMA land within 10 miles? How about the 10,000 of acres of state park land? So many options so near by makes this a very unique and popular area to stay!
