About this property
Easy walk to Canyon Lodge, private garage, EV charger. Great for families.
Courchevel #53 is a nicely-furnished condo less than 220 yards from Canyon Lodge - about a four minute walk. No need to hassle with parking, just roll out of bed, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and stroll right to the lifts. This listing is new to VRBO but has a five+ year super host, 4.95/5 star rating on that other listing site.
The condo has a large, private, one-car garage. No need to scrape your windshield. If you have an electric vehicle, there is a 50A 240v NEMA 14-50R charging outlet - see photos for details.
The living room has a wood-burning fireplace, radiant floor heat, and a desk so you can catch up on work after you hit the slopes. The living room has a 60" 4K HD smart TV has Apple TV / Chromecast / Amazon / Hulu / Netflix / etc so you can stream your favorite content right from your device. The two bedrooms each have their own 1080p smart TVs.
The condominium complex has a shared common area with two indoor jacuzzis, a sauna, laundry facilities. The outdoor swimming pool and BBQ area are available in the summer time.
There are some rental condos in town that are neglected and worn-down, owned by absentee investors and managed by third parties. Not this one! I am able to to work remotely, so I come up and use the condo about once a month, and I'm continually improving and upgrading it. Just recently: new dining table and chairs, new kitchen stove, new cookware, new thermostats, new modem and enterprise-quality Ubiquiti networking gear and WiFi access point, new EV charger outlet. The kitchen is well-stocked with a full set of pots and pans, baking dishes, coffee machine, blender, toaster and toaster oven, utensils, glassware, basic spices and cooking oils, pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, potato ricer, etc. I strive to make this a comfortable place to work and play, both for me and for you.
The beds have super plush memory foam hotel mattresses, and the two sofa beds are pretty comfortable too - these are not the old rickety fold-outs with wafer thin pads on metal frames and springs.
Please note: no pets, no parties, no smoking!
Keypad access to everything, so there are no physical keys to bother with.

About the host
Your host
My name is Dave and I live in San Diego. My family has been coming to Mammoth literally my entire life. It's where I learned to ski, when a child's lift ticket was $7 and included Chairs 6 and 11, and the two T-bars! It has been my dream forever to own a place of my own up in Mammoth, and that dream became a reality in 2018. This condo required a lot of renovation and I'm really please with how it all turned out. I come up about once a month, and I hope you enjoy staying here as much as I do.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location! There are lots of places to stay in Mammoth, but most of them require either driving to the lifts, or standing outside in the cold waiting for the shuttle bus, which may or may not be already full when it arrives. This condominium only requires a very short (~ 4 minute) walk to Canyon Lodge. Most visits, I hit Vons on the way into town, park in the garage, and never get in the car again. Whether it's an early morning on a powder day, or a lazy mid-morning spring skiing arrival, it's so nice to just roll out of bed, not deal with parking, and arrive at the lodge on your own terms.
What makes this property unique
It's closer to the lifts than 99% of the properties in Mammoth. I have added a lot of touches to my condo to make it a very comfortable place to stay, but I also keep my personal stuff stored away so you don't get that intrusive "I'm staying in somebody else's space" feeling. It's well stocked with amenities, but it always feels like it's your place.
