Beautiful Beachfront Estate Property
Our home is right in the middle of the world renowned 3 mile Treasure Cay Beach on Ocean Blvd. Treasure Cay beach was voted in the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic.
This property has 3 buildings on it. The main house, a 3 bedroom guest cottage and a 2 bedroom suite over the coach house all with an incredible view to the Sea of Abaco, the beach and outlying cays. It also has a large 20’ x 50’ swimming pool if you prefer fresh water to ocean water. There is an awesome child's wading area at one end of the pool. The pool can be fenced for an additional fee payed in cash upon arrival to the property manager. The pool can be heated to 82F during winter months for an additional $500 US/week payed in cash to the property manager as it is normally about 72.
The main house is not occupied during rentals. You may have to share the pool and beach with the other unit if you don’t rent both (refer to VRBO ID#3649318 if you are interested in 5 bedrooms and 2 units) This property is for people who like peace and tranquility accompanied by long beach walks with spectacular ocean/beach views.
This 3 bedroom guest house has a master bedroom with king bed. The ensuite bathroom has 2 sinks, hair dryer, and a walk in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and the third bedroom has a queen bed. These bedrooms share a bathroom with 2 sinks and tub/shower. The dining table seats 6. There is a TV in the open concept living area with local cable. The small kitchen is equipped with a 5 element gas cook top, microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender, along with all the usual items you need in a kitchen. There is a grill outdoors. NOTE THERE IS NO OVEN. On the fully covered patio there is patio furniture and a dining table. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt water and sandy feet on your way up from the beach. Maximum guests is 6. Children welcome.
The guest house is fully air conditioned. You have access to the washer and dryer in the garage as well as 2 paddle boards, a 2 man kayak, snorkelling gear & beach toys. Paddle boards/kayak must be locked up in the garage at night so they don’t get swept away at high tide or ‘borrowed’ by others, never to be returned. There will be a significant replacement charge if a paddle board goes missing. Chairs must always be left above the sea wall on the lawn or covered deck of the main house.
Please be aware that Treasure Cay is still recovering from hurricane Dorian, Sept.1,1019 and occasionally has power outages. There are plugged in flashlights in all rooms. The main grocery store, Maxwell’s, is in Marsh Harbour but there is a convenience store in Treasure Cay.
You will need to rent a car or golf cart to get around. Car rentals are available at the Marsh Harbour Airport. We have a 6 passenger golf cart on site that can be rented and paid for in cash to the property manager, Patrice, for $80/day. It is electric so you must plug it in whenever you return to the property. Golf cart rentals are also available in Treasure Cay (4 person @ $55/day) from Cash's carts 1-242-365-8771 which they will deliver to the property if you pre-arrange. Boat rentals are available in the TC marina by google search 'Treasure Cay Boat Rentals'. Abaco Tours & Activities is another great website to research. Our home is a 15-20 minute walk to the TC village. Bahama Beach club is open for dinner beginning Nov.1 but reservations are a must. Florence’s bakery is open for breakfast, lunch and take out.
Pets are not permitted and smoking is not permitted indoors.
A chef can be arranged for an additional charge.
Check-in after 3pm and check-out by 11am.
Getting there:
Marsh Harbour Airport (MHH) is your best port of entry from the US or Nassau. It’s a 40 minute drive to Treasure Cay from the airport. Taxi’s are always waiting at the airport and will happily stop at the grocery store in Marsh Harbour and wait while you grocery shop. Taxi’s only take cash - US or Bahamian $ trade equally. Most other stores take credit cards. There is a liquor store at the highway intersection to Treasure Cay. If you have never been to Treasure Cay, Abaco before and come in late in the day we recommend taking a taxi as it can be very dark and you may have trouble finding your way (especially since you drive on the left). Buy enough groceries in Marsh Harbour at Maxwell's grocery store for your stay, take a taxi to our home, and rent a golf cart. Arrange for the taxi to return you to the airport.
Treasure Cay has an airport as well if you are flying by private plane or charter with a Customs agent to be arranged in advance.
Your onsite property manager, Patrice, of PFparty rentals is a great resource of information. She can be reached on WhatsApp at 242-441-6227.
