Mountain Gem - Pet friendly

A precious jewel embedded in the Blue Ridge… an apt description for Mountain Gem! Picture yourself by the warm fire out on the deck, taking in the clear mountain air and the heavenly views! Enjoy unfettered night sky views and breathtaking sunsets while sipping amazing Virginia wines on the spacious deck.

Mountain Gem is located on a peaceful cul-de-sac approximately 1 mile from the resort entrance, and 1 mile from Wintergreen Resort’s Mountain Village. For nature-lovers, hiking and bird-watching are practically outside your front door on Fortunes Ridge Trail. Ski slopes are just minutes away, as are fishing, golf, wineries, breweries, cideries, farmers’ markets, antique stores, bakeries, and restaurants!

The main floor incorporates a newly renovated great-room concept. The modern, airy kitchen is stocked with all utensils, dishes, and glassware, and includes a welcoming sit-at counter and wine fridge. The dining area features a 6-person table with endless mountain views. An intimate sitting area is nestled around the chic linear electric fireplace, adding warmth and glamour to the gathering space. A large flat screen TV rounds out the great room, or if you prefer use your favorite online streaming service with our GIG internet. The first-floor main bedroom has a plush king bed, where you can linger with morning coffee to experience the emerging early mountain vistas. A full bath completes the main floor, as well as a new washer/dryer.

Upstairs you will find a cozy sitting area for reading, family game time, or TV watching. A full bathroom and 2 additional bedrooms round out the second floor: a well-appointed queen bedroom with convenient lamps for reading in bed, and a stylish twin bedroom with lovely pastoral views.

We provide STARTER toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. You’ll want to bring extra. We do provide liquid dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, and a sponge or dish cloth. We also provide 1 towel and wash cloth per guest mentioned on your reservation when you booked; hand towels will be provided as well. There is a washer & dryer but we do NOT supply the laundry detergent.

Please note: We are not considered "Resort Members" so you will not have access to The Devils Grill, Devils Knob Golf Course or the Wintergarden Spa. You may be able to book a spa treatment to access the indoor pool etc. but we HIGHLY recommend checking with the resort directly to confirm.

We highly recommend reserving your lift tickets and ski equipment in advance as they are NOT guaranteed. Check the Wintergreen Resort website for availability.

Guests will have access to the Chestnut Springs and Rodes Farm outdoor pools from 2PM to 6PM. (Memorial Day Weekend-Labor Day Weekend). A valid I.D. will be required for access. Lake Monocan is also available on Sundays, Tuesday-Friday. Check the WPOA website for hours and pricing.

The use of motorcycles are prohibited on the mountain. Guests driving motorcycles will need to park at the Wintergreen PD and have transportation up to the condo.

*This unit is pet friendly, but we ask that you keep pets off all furniture & beds and please dispose of doggie waste bags properly. Do NOT leave in hallways or on porches/decks.*
