Peace and tranquility exudes this very charming Chalet nestled on 40+ acres only minutes from Lake Nockamixon. You, your family or friends can reconnect without all the distractions of today's technology. Outdoors you can enjoy hiking, reading by the pond, sitting by the outside firepit making s'mores, or just relax watching for the wildlife that travels throughout the property. Indoors we offer a Great room with cathedral vaulted ceilings, very large sectional sofa for the family to sit together to enjoy the crackling sound of the wood stove in the floor to ceiling stone fireplace, 4 bedrooms with the Master bedroom located on the first floor including a king size bed with a beautiful view of just simple wildlife. The second floor has two bedrooms , 1 with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds and 2nd with a queen bed and a full/twin bunkbed. The third floor has one bedroom with two twin size child beds and one regular twin.. All bedrooms offer beautiful hardwood flooring and beautiful views. There are 3 1/2 baths, one on each floor along with a BRAND NEW country kitchen, dining area, mudroom with washer & dryer, a 3 season porch where the family can sit and enjoy the view of nature from indoors or sit and play games with the family. Most dogs are welcomed - approval needed. Weekend and weekly fees apply. Beauty abounds the serenity and privacy this home has to offer, book your stay now!

Beautiful Property!
We had a very comfortable stay with our bridal party and family. Plenty of space to spread out and great amenities to accomodate a larger group. The location is relaxing and quiet with beautiful scenery. Our host Mary was super responsive and communication was easy when we had questions.

Something for everyone!
We had a room for each kids family of four, room to play and eat together or sit peacefully inside or out. Kitchen nicely appointed for gathered meals and plenty of seating options, listing didn't mention Keurig but there is one. Better than our home could offer! Close to quaint towns, Delaware River and our family Reunion in NJ. The property is very private and kept like a park - enjoyed looking out the windows onto the backyard and strolling the grounds. We didn't have any communication with the owner, but didn't have any issues that needed dealing with.

This was for a film shoot and the house was exactly what we need for filming and for the cast and crew to stay over. The location and atmosphere were so peaceful for in between shots and relaxing after. Highly reccomend!

This was exactly what we hoped it would be! Beautiful, serene property. Host was very accessible and helpful. Our kids (9 & 11) had so much fun exploring the property. We played board games and cooked out on the grill. We would absolutely recommend staying here! Wonderful location and such a clean, updated property.

The owner and property are equally great! We've traveled with the same group for 8 years now. The house was immaculate and delivered above expectations. Nothing was worn out or dirty, the location was quite and peaceful.

WEDDING WEEKenD
We were more than thrilled with this property. We came from out of town with our 2 adult children and their families for our daughter's wedding weekend at the Pearl S Buck Estate. The house was roomy and safe for kids. The location was perfect and private, and afforded lots of opportunities for beautiful pictures for our daughter and her bridesmaids. The owners were helpful and accommodating. Now we're looking for a reason to come back next year! A big thank you to the owners!

The property is lovely………home is surrounded by woods, pond and visiting deer. The rooms are large and comfortable. The dining table on the back porch area (enclosed) is a wonderful place to enjoy meals.The large windows on three sides bring the peaceful scenery into the room. The large stone fireplace in the living room has a wood burning stove which we enjoyed very much on the cool evenings. The kitchen is well-equipped and the large island makes it possible to friends/family to cook together. There also is ample parking

What a fabulous week at the Chalet! I'll start with the minor things I would change: a new BBQ is needed, but according to Mary it has already been purchased (yay), and I wish there were a lounge chair in the gorgeous backyard and a grab bar in one of the showers for those who may need it. That's it. that's all the negative I can think of! The kitchen and bathrooms were all recently renovated and are well appointed. The kitchen had abundant utensils, dinnerware, mugs, glasses, pots, and pans for the 12 that we were. The beds are all comfortable, especially the main bedroom, which has wonderful acoustics, as well as a private entrance to the backyard. The great room was spacious and cozy and Netflix was a bonus on the TV. Our week was a combination of large family gatherings, yummy meals at the large table, and quiet dinners in the kitchen when our family left mid-week. The home was a perfect get-away for both of those joys. You will not be disappointed!

This house is even more gorgeous and spacious than the photos indicates. A perfect vacation home for family . The furniture and decor are stunning. Our family enjoyed the home and acres of beautiful property . The kitchen consist of gourmet /high end appliances . We had tea by the hour as the island in the kitchen is a perfect gathering spot . At nights we sat by the fire pit outdoor and told stories . We even pitched a tent outdoor for the teens . These memories will last a life time . Mary is an exceptional host . She reached out to us the moment we booked and informed us of all the details needed . Check in was seamless . Overall a magical stay . Thank you Mary . We look forward to staying at this beautiful home in the near future .

Beautiful property
We came out for a wedding and decided to find a place to stay as a group instead of renting a bunch of hotel rooms and I couldn't have been happier. It's extremely spacious, everyone had a place to sleep, and we had a wonderful time. I'd highly recommend staying here if you have a large group.

We have owned this property for several years and often thought about sharing the rural peace and tranquility it gives to us. There is something about getting out of from the noise and 'rat race' and coming to the woods for a true rejuvenating Get-Away. Come see for yourself. When is the last time you woke up and everything was calm and peaceful around you? The only people you may see during your stay is the neighbor driving his four wheeler up the lane to the back woods. They will just wave and respect your privacy.
