WE SOMETIMES HAVE GROUPS PENDING WHICH DON'T APPEAR IN OUR CALENDAR UNTIL CONFIRMED.**

**SPECIAL NOTES -- PLEASE READ FIRST**
-- We typically require 3- or 4-night weekends, based on the season; and defer to longer stay groups (4-5+ nights) over weekends beyond 21 days in advance. We release remaining weekend inventory within the 21-day window, or when other bookings align. Please feel free to inquire about any forward dates prior to a booking request, as we sometimes get overlapping requests.
-- Some special event dates may require longer stays, such as: Lollapalooza, Chicago Marathon, holidays, etc. Please inquire first, thanks!
-- We normally don't book more than 6 months in advance, except for extended stay groups or special circumstances.

Modern, renovated, luxury Chicago condo is available for short or long term stays. Our ideal downtown location is just two subway stops (~10 minutes) from the loop, Michigan Ave. shopping, museums & Lake Michigan. We are centrally located in the River West neighborhood, adjacent several nightlife areas such as Bucktown, Wicker Park, River North and Lincoln Park. Many great River West bars & restaurants are walking distance from our place.

Our private 3-BR, 3-BA duplex home is the top condo of a three-unit building. It features modern fixtures, concrete counters, 3 queen bedrooms (sleeps 11 comfortably), 3 full showers, master BA jacuzzi-style tub, master steam shower, wi-fi internet, custom in-wall sound system, big screen TV, washer/dryer, fireplace, and a huge outdoor deck. We can also rent a garage bay if needed, though street parking is easy and free.

From airports: we are a quick, easy and direct 40 minute train ride to O'hare airport, or single change from Midway airport. Our house is just 1 block from the Chicago Ave. Blue Line subway stop, and Chicago / Milwaukee bus lines. Taxis are also abundant in our neighborhood.

Several restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. are nearby. Some of our favorites include:

- The Dawson -- excellent food including brunch, top-rated cocktails + outdoor bar
- Piccolo Sogno and La Scarola -- top Italian
- Butterfly Thai & Sushi; and Japonais -- both excellent sushi
- Big Shoulders -- casual, original source coffee shop one block away
- Frontier -- organic and exotic meats / BBQ
- Matchbox -- our favorite bar, the smallest & most intimate in Chicago!
- G&O -- eclectic bar menu with brunch on weekends
- Dove's -- excellent southern/soul food brunch in nearby Bucktown!

Girls Gathering in Chicago

Long time girlfriends from college and even earlier gathered in Chicago to catch up on each other’s lives. We had a WONDERFUL time and we loved the condo. It was perfect for our needs and gave us plenty of space. The hosts were so gracious and allowed us to check early and check out late. We would absolutely return to stay in the same condo.

The location was eslasy acess to all we needed by car, bus or subway. The place was perfect formiur needs with enough beds, bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well supplied. The hosts were kind and responded immediately for anything we asked about.

Wonderful Stay

The owner was wonderful, easy to communixate with and responsive! Lots and lots of space! I would add thats its about an 18 stair walk up once in the front door (little eough on my MIL), otherwise the property was quiet, felt safe, clean and very comfortable!

Great sleeping arrangements

A great spot for our multi-family reunion. Also super close to the Blue Line train which made seeing the city easy without a car. Plus Hans the owner was incredibly helpful and communicative.

Great Location In Chicago

The condo is located close to Chicago's blue line which made visiting various city locations very easy. Rideshare was inexpensive as well. The neighborhood has plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The condo is roomy and comfortable for a large group and had a great outdoor space. There was only one TV available. We would definitely stay here again

Perfect location. Far enough away from downtown and close to the blue line. CVS walking distance for supplies. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Property was clean and exactly like the photos. Would definitely stay again.

Close to Everything!

15 minute walk will get you to everything. Multiple coffee shops, nice restaurants, bar, liquor store. If that isn't enough, the public transit stations are less than 1/2 block. Parking can be challenging if driving from out of town, but still completely doable.

All the comfort of home

Two words: Steam Shower. Great location with easy access to transit, and close proximity to attractions. Chicago Boat Rentals are a block away if you choose to take a river cruise. Safe area, and definitely worth renting the garage space. Tons of space to spread out.

Comfortable, Spacious, and Convenient

We so enjoyed our stay at The Vagabond's Chicago home. We rented the garage as well as the upstairs apartment (that is actually 2 levels of living space). This made our stay that much more convenient. We did use our car to get around town as we had small children with us, one of whom is disabled. The home was very clean and spacious and with three full baths, getting ready was very easy. Hans was very easy to communicate with and was very kind and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay!

Spacious and fun for our spring break trip!

We were thrilled to be able to stay in this fun, cool apartment. Not only did it have three bedrooms and bathrooms and two separate living areas, the whole space is laid out so that you never feel cramped and everyone has their own space to relax after being together rushing around the city all day. Very well stocked with linens, toiletries, and kitchen items. Beds very comfortable and showers were awesome! Friendly, responsive hosts. Had it been warmer we would have loved the outdoor deck space! Cool little neighborhood - can easily walk to grocery, CVS, coffee shops and a few restaurants - we enjoyed a sushi place that was about a block away and excellent! There is a small rental garage available which I would recommend. 10/10 would stay again!

Celebrating our grandson’s 2nd birthday!

What an absolutely wonderful place for celebrating with family!. Was so good to see my kids and grandkids and all be together. This place is very spacious and so fun. Loved the big table for our birthday celebration with our 2 yr old grandson.l and enjoying family meals Also found this home to be a great spot to launch for the shedd aquarium , art Institute, and of course, the bean and the playground. The communication with our host was beyond amazing. When little problems arose he responded immediately and took care of things right away. The only thing that was a little tough for me was the stairs. I have some knee issues so these old knees did not like climbing the steps into the building then up to the unit, then up to the second floor. Just getting old I guess. Truly… that location was so wonderful tho. Loved going to mass at Saint John Cantius, which is just a couple blocks away and having coffee at the local coffee shop. Everything was perfect.!!

Location, location

The apartment is located 5 minutes away from the blue line, 2 stations to center. On the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 3 story building. Great starting point for downtown excursions. The apartment is very large, 3 bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, big kitchen and living area. Only caution, the staircase to the 2nd floor is rather steep. We enjoyed our stay

Great place for two families

The apartment is great - very spacious, fabulous location and Hans was incredibly responsive and flexible. It was well-stocked enough for us to cook Thanksgiving dinner for seven! If there were half stars, I might take a half off for some of the idiosyncrasies - some blinds were broken, not all the windows opened and one bed had a broken frame. But none of that would stop us renting the place again. One other note for people with mobility issues - the stairs leading up to the apartment are quite steep.

The Perfect Place to Stay in Chicago

Our business team was in Chicago for several days for a convention and we chose this property over the usual hotel stay. What a great decision! The property was even better than described in the listing. It was roomy and comfortable and it felt like coming home every day after work. The neighborhood was really great. Lots of places to grab some really great food or supplies and all in walking distance. Hans was great! He really helped me out when I had questions and was super responsive.
