Birthday celebration with my family!
It is a beautiful house with three levels to comfortably accommodate a group of 18. Close to the Malecon so access to downtown was easy. The terrace makes the house though! The view is amazing. We found ourselves spending the majority of the time on the terrace no matter what time. I don't know how summer will feel as I don't remember seeing A/Cs, but wintertime was awesome. There are lots of stairs, so keep that in mind when booking, but if it's not a concern, it's well worth it. A few of my older family members had issues with going up and down so much, but they said, "How could you not go up with such a beautiful terrace?" Alicia, the housekeeper, made sure we were taken care of with shopping ahead of time, even cooked for us one of the days, and went above and beyond to make my family feel at home! I would definitely rent it again.

Perfecto lugar para familias!
We are so happy we found this listing and so appreciative to the hosts for checking in with us, checking in with our family, and allowing us a space to relax and bond with our family we had not seen in a long time. Everyone had their space but was also able to unite for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beds were so comfortable! The pool was ideal for my kids. The whole place - It was so home-y. Muchas gracias a Arturo por la atención. We hope to come back another year! Feliz verano.

Large group home
Lots of bedroom choices. Fun home for entertaining a group. Very nice rooftop deck with small pool. Convenient to Malecón. Neighborhood is loud, but not unlike many other PV stays.

A perfect stay!!!
We just left the Casa yesterday and already miss it. What a place!!!! We had a party of 11 of us ranging from 10 years old to 50 years old and not one person was disappointed. The views of downtown PV were truly unbelievable, with a full view of not only downtown, but the bay. To be able to not only wake up to that daily but to watch such a beautiful sunset was perfect. We will be back!!!

Family Cultural Experience
This is, as advertised, a lovely colonial style house in a neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta. It has been beautifully decorated and is well maintained. It provided a respite from the Malecon activity. The children enjoyed the well-maintained pool every day and the adults relaxed. Yes, it has the noises of the neighborhood….church bells, children playing, people talking and roosters. There are no screens or windows which is why the house was always well-ventilated and cool. It was “as advertised” and perfect for our family of 12.

New Year's in Mexico
This was our 2nd visit to this property. We love the location, the spaciousness, the fact that every room has it's own bathroom/shower. We had a smooth check-in with Arturo, and he was very easy to get a hold off when needed. We had a couple of small issues, they were handled promptly and with no major inconvenience to us. We will keep visiting this property when possible. It's a great property for a large group, no windows, just shutters so it can be a bit loud but it wasn't a big bother at all. Would recommend and will definitely stay again.

On top of the World.
Stayed last 11days of January 2018. Amazing view. This is a very spacious traditional Mexican home. Upper floor was a great place for us all to socialize. Large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Lot`s of room for people to be on their own if they wish to. Very clean and well decorated. Housekeeping Mon. Wed and Friday. Very friendly staff. I read the past reviews and I think that there needs to be some updates. It appears to me that the owner listens to the people that write reviews. There is not 1 fridge anymore; there are 3 fridges. 1 in the kitchen, 1 in the lower bar area and a small fridge at the pool side bar. Also there is 2 brand new umbrellas. Seating in the dining room not for 8 people as I have read but seating for 16 people. My wife enjoyed a great 70 th. birthday party. We had an 8 piece Mariachi band on the roof top area and 16 people there. My wife`s son cooked New York steaks on the outdoor grill. The only negative is the church bells that ring every 15 minutes 24/7. House has shutters not windows so it can be noisy at times. Overall a great experience,

Very close to Old Town. Great neighborhood super safe
The only drawback was the open air house thing. We had a party of 13 that some of which liked to stay up and party and the place echo's quite a bit. Take some sleeping pills if you want to sleep while half your group hangs out at the pool. Other than that it was perfect. Arturo the concierge guy was super helpful if needed. I don't know that I would recommend during the summer as it gets pretty hot here with no AC but it was perfect in the winter. Great Place!!!

A hidden gem
Very much enjoyed our stay here. Killer views, amazingly spacious house and good layout for a large group. The rooftop was the center of the party and worked great. Only reason for the 4/5 was the lack of privacy due to the open layout. The similar complaint as in other reviews of noise was an issue; the roosters crow in the morning, you can hear conversations throughout the house and the bells from the church. Overall, a wonderful experience though.

Family Trip
Location: The location was great, walking distance to the Malecon (downtown/boardwalk). The walk down was a bit steep as well as the walk back up, but you could always take Uber or taxi on the way home. The house was located in a regular neighborhood, which was a bit loud (especially the neighbors), but manageable. House: The house was super spacious and every room having their own bathroom was great. Everything in the house was functional (hot water, kitchen, BBQ, fans, TV, wi-fi). The house has no windows which is why I believe the outside noises were louder. Management: The contact folks were reachable by text. Housekeeping: We had housekeeping come by 1 day (which we scheduled ahead of time), so that was fine. The one thing missing were extra towels, toilet paper, blankets, we had to ask housekeeping to bring these additional items. Summary: Location was great (a bit loud), house was super spacious and functional. We enjoyed our time in PV and would definitely recommend this house and would definitely stay there again (if we have a large party).

Perfect for a large group
This house is fabulous - and we really appreciated the friendly staff and excellent meals! There were 12 of us, and this house didn't feel AT ALL cramped; and the rooftop with the pool is an incredible place to hang out! LOVED it!

Really pretty nice
Really a beautiful place...the bright colors contrasted by the old dark wood. The place is in great condition.... and you can't beat the views. We were well taken care of by owner's liaison who explained the area and the logistics of the house. He was always available by a phone call and helped with questions about taxis, grocery shopping, etc. Beware this is open air...no glass windows. If one of the neighbors decides to have a party that lasts to 6am, which frequently happened, you will need to get on their schedule. Overall great value and experience for us.

Great neighborhood location
Casa Alexandra did not disappoint. This place was AWESOME. So much space to lounge in. The swimming pool is bigger than it looks in the picture. It is about 8 feet by 8 feet square and about neck deep for adults. All of the staff, yes staff, were amazing. Arturo was warm and welcoming as the concierge/property manager. Alicia and her daughter Marcela, came every other day to clean and do the laundry. If we did not want the beds washed or made all we had to do was let them know. They even cooked us my birthday dinner as well as bought all the groceries. We reimbursed them for the groceries and paid a fee for their services. The staff does not live on property. The roof terrace and pool offer a great view of the Bay of Banderas as well as a nightly sunset, followed by the fireworks. With the blazing PV sun the terrace is exposed to full sun with the exception of the roof covered portion. There could be more shaded area perhaps created by tarp partitions and/or umbrellas. There were two umbrellas and one was broken. I was a little disappointed when I called Arturo asking for another parasol he stated he that he would call the owner and get back to me. That never happened. We ended up using a shoelace to rig the parasol open. The terrace can accommodate 16 but there was only lounge chairs for 4 and terrace seating for about 4. There should also be a wifi booster. Room #7 didn't receive the signal which was fine. If there was someone in that room trying to do business, they may have been disappointed. I also suggest a second or third refrigerator at each bar. With all the food and beverages we had for only 6 people the fridge in the kitchen was extremely full. Having additional fridges for beverages only would be ideal. The neighborhood is quite loud. People outside talking late at night and early in the AM. Music from houses playing at odd hours. Vehicles passing by are loud particularly since the windows do not have glass and NO air conditioning. There are plenty of fans in each room. There is also the sound of the church bells every 15 minutes which I find to be charming. Neighbors are friendly so say "hola" as you pass by. The beds are hard. They consist of a mattress on top of a wooden platform. If you are accustomed to comfy hotel beds, then this is not the place for you. I highly recommend Casa Alexandra for large groups. It is an authentic Mexican villa with a great location. Walking distance to many sights.

Perfect for a Group
A group of friends and I stayed at Casa Alexandra for New Years last year. It was an ideal location for this type of group. The house was large and the way the rooms were set up worked really well for a group. Each room has its own bathroom and is suitably separated from the others. The location was a bit noisy at night, but that wasn't a problem for our group in particular. The people who had trouble sleeping in that condition just moved to a more interior room and didn't have any other problems. Great for a group of friends or maybe a small-ish family reunion. All communications with the owners and the management company were prompt and professional. Thanks!
