Our weekend stay at Julia’s Arc was truly the perfect weekend!!! The location is perfect and the boat is so clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and generously stocked. We felt so calm and happy during our whole stay. The top deck is a perfect spot to have a cup of coffee or watch the sunset. Plus, the host, Julia was so accommodating and sweet. We really hope to go back soon!
Julia was so nice and I absolutely loved my time on her house boat. I was sad to leave! It was so quiet and comfy and relaxing and the Kentmorr is so close that you could walk right over anytime you wanted. Cant wait to return!
Host very easy to work with and what ended up to be a gifted stay for a couple rather than a girls weekend away was much appreciated. Would recommend this property and would stay there again.
We loved our stay. It was particularly nice to get away from all the "hustle and bustle" of the Sailboat Show. The unit was well-equipped and comfortable. We loved the upper deck! In fact, we had morning coffee, on day, and watched 2 eagles in a nearby tree.
Beautiful houseboat to stay in for a week and explore the Eastern side of Maryland. The houseboat is gorgeous inside and has many private areas if you just want to get away from the group. Highly recommended and look forward to renting it again.
The boat house was so relaxing and just what we needed to get away and unwind. We would love to come back when it is not off season because I imagine then it is even more fun! We loved it !
My daughter & I had 4 nights of pure joy in this boat house. It was a new experience and so worth it ! Thank you, Julia
The upgrades & space are fantastic in this boat house.
We loved our stay at Julia’s Arc! The houseboat was absolutely lovely - even better than the pictures showed. Julia was communicative and thoughtful throughout - she’s a great host!
The location is nice - it’s in a marina, so it’s safe if there is bad weather. There’s a beach there and a restaurant in the marina.
Be warned though - everything in the area closes early. We tried to get dinner around 9pm and absolutely nothing was open (we wound up ordering pizza which was very good).
Annapolis is a short drive away and it’s always a great visit, especially if you’re a sailor like me.
If you’re looking for something a little different for a vacation stay, consider Julia’s Arc. We’re glad we did!!
Very clean and quiet place. This was a great place to get my “mid” off the yard for some time to decompress. The only note I would make is that the second bedroom with the “double sofa bed” is really more suited for little people. This would be a little small for 6 full sized adults.
We enjoyed our stay, very relaxing and it’s cool to see all the boats and inter workings of the marina..we were there when it was cold so I bet the warmer months would be really nice, everything we needed was supplied as far as kit.. just a nice stay and the owner was very nice and responsive, even took the time to mail back a box we forgot.. cya again 4sure

I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway. Julia's place was lovely. VRBO had some technical issue, yer she was able to provide me the check-in information. Never been on a houseboat. The place is beautifully decorated and she still had some Valentines themed items out. Which made our romantic weekend even more special. Breathtaking sunsets. Definitely coming back in the warmer season. You should definitely consider coming to Julia's Arc. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place.
My husband and I had a wonderful time clebrating the 4th with friends at Julia's Arc houseboat. The beach at the Marina was a nice place to have a cookout and watch fireworks, up and down the entire Chesapeake shorelines. Julia had everything there we needed for grilling on the beach.
The houseboat was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, even supplying condiments, some spices and paper products like foil, plastic wrap, etc. True to everything listed online. Only drawback: It says it sleeps 6, with 2 bedrooms, however; the twin futon room is better suited to sleep 2 children. We ended up using the sleeper sofa in the main living area. While it was comfortable, and served the purpose; we would have preferred having another usable bedroom for adults.
Overall, it was a perfect getaway for 4. Celebrating our freedom to do things like this. Julia was very accommodating and available for questions. Would recommend.
My husband and I and our dog had a lovely getaway on "Julia's Arc". This was our first time on a Houseboat and it was a wonderful experience. So much light! And the movement of the boat was just enough to be comforting.
The home was very clean and beautifully adorned with great attention to detail. Julia, the host, was very responsive and very generous in doing all she could to make our trip as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. The views over the water were gorgeous and we really enjoyed watching the local wildlife. The neighborhood is quiet and the small marina beach park was clean and lovely. Obviously, there are limitations to being on a boat such as limited hot water, needing to use bottled water for drinking and tooth brushing, etc., but that's the nature of any houseboat, not something the host could do anything about. Just be aware if you plan to have a larger group or do a lot of cooking, maybe a house on land would be better.:)
This was a first class experience and I would highly recommend this property for a cozy and peaceful getaway.

I am a Covid 19 retired Pediatric ER physician living my second career. I love the water and have spent many miles sailing in the Bay and all over the world. My daughter and grandsons live in Easton, MD. I am trying to leave them with at least a little legacy and not burden them in my old age. So I am creating equity by renting out my home and this vacation home when I’m not there. I have to admit it was a fun creative project to renovate this boat and I love sharing it with my guests.
Why they chose this property
This houseboat is a place to just sit back and relax and let the marine life come to you. It is also close to Annapolis, MD and all it has to offer.
What makes this property unique
It has been decorated to reflect the uniqueness of the Mid and Eastern Shore of Maryland. I like to call it Nautical Farmhouse. The marina has many fishing charter boats and a water front restaurant. It also has its own private beach.
