The cabin was perfect, just big enough for the 2 of us. Clean, very welcoming and the owners were friendly and helpful. Overall it was a lovely stay. Thank you Rog and Kate
The cabin is ideal for any time of the year. It is clean comfortable and set at the end of the road. The grounds are nicely landscaped leading into the nature that surrounds the cabin.

Great Property
Quiet location. Very well appointed and very clean property. Owners are fantastic friendly folks. Great place to get away from it all!
If you’re looking to just relax and unwind this cabin is it. Hosts were wonderful. Maggie (owners dog) was so friendly and was there to welcome us. The Cabin had everything you could need. Wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back. Can’t recommend this rental enough.
We've stayed at this cabin before and couldn't wait to come back. The location is great, the hosts exceed expectations and the cabin is immaculate and has everything (and more) that one could need for a stay away from home.
We will definitely be back in the future!
My husband and I stayed in the Ally cabin for a fantastic weekend for rest and relaxation for just the two of us. I can’t say enough great things about how clean this place was, how cozy it was and how great Roger was to talk to about their hidden gem in the north country. We ride regularly in the summer and winter in Pittsburg so we will definitely return next summer and hopefully for some snowmobiling as well.
Thank you Kate and Roger for sharing your place with us.
My better half and I reserved this cabin in April. From acceptance to arrival great email communication. We were well received to a beautiful cabin which shares the property with a second rental plus the owners house. Place is meticulously spotless, well equipped and comfortable. We spent time with the owners and the couple in the other cabin, they made us feel at home. We try to visit Pittsburg whenever we can and with a cabin like this looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Kate and Roger.

Perfect weekend
Well, I'm not even sure where to start! This place was absolutely amazing, and the hosts were fantastic-very helpful, and very kind! We went up to Pittsburg so my boyfriend could run in his first half marathon about 25 minutes away. We had our dogs with us, and we could not have had a more perfect time! A lovely walk in the morning, and a fire each night. Our days were filled with exploring and seeing the beautiful area. I can't stress enough how nice of a place this is. It is truly a beautiful cabin with everything you need right there. We will definitely be back!

Very well kept property. Nice landscaping. Very quiet and enjoyable.
The property was attractive, both the landscaping and the cottage itself. Very clean and homey. The interior resembles a log cabin. It is nicely furnished. Not a detail was missed. I am very happy we decided to stay here. It is conveniently located, only a mile from the local store/gas station. Access to all the Connecticut lakes and Lake Francis is easy from this cabin. We don't use ATV's , but there are trails for those who do. It was a great get-away from everyday life and work. I highly recommend this property. No regrets here.
The property was perfectly situated for activities in the area. Communication with the host was great and the check in and check out were fine. I’ll definitely be back again.
The cabin was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with great cookware and the bed was comfortable. It was great to be able to do a load of laundry at the tail end of our trip. Kate & Roger were so nice. We highly recommend this little piece of heaven. It was perfect in every way!
As always our visit was exactly what we were looking for. An out-of-the-way place that was quiet and relaxing. The accommodations were clean and had everything we needed. While the weather was rainy there was enough sunshine to enjoy a few days of hiking and we finally so a moose during an early morning excursion. We'll be back.
A home away from home, nestled in the hilltop yet all of the amenities of home at your fingertips! Property is simply gorgeous and Roger and Kate are amazing hosts! In the heart of Pittsburg with all this beautiful town has to offer! Perfect for ATV riders! Will be back !
Kate and Roger were incredible host.
They were inviting, knowledgeable of the area, great conversationalist, accommodating and they have the most welcoming home feeling cabins you will ever stay in.
I highly recommend to take your get away in one of their cabins.
We had an amazing weekend staying at the cabin. When we walking in it was immaculate. It was the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. They have absolutely everything you need. The space was put together with thought into every detail. They have seasoned dry split wood for the fire pit which was greatly appreciated. We had an amazing time. The property was beautiful. We hope to visit again soon!
Super clean clean with everything you’ll need other than your food. The cabin is more than big enough for a couple or good size for a group. Keep in mind they rent the sister cabin if you wanted to go up with another couple. Right on the ATV and snowmobile trails. Owners are more than friendly and accommodating
A piece of heaven tucked in the beautiful woods of Pittsburg
By far our favorite cabin, hosts, and overall stay. The Abby Cabin was clean and well maintained. The hosts were more than accommodating. We had all the amenities needed and more. We will look forward to staying in the Alley Cabin again.
I can't say enough good things about this location. Had everything that you would want at a cabin in the woods. Attentive owners but not overbearing. Rustic but clean and well appointed.
Kate and Roger were great hosts . Really nice folks.
Ally Cabin was a great spot to spend a few days in Pittsburg. A private, fully equiped cabin in a great location. Kate and Roger were helpful when asked, but otherwise left us to ourselves. My wife and I tried to think of what could have been better, and couldn't really come up with anything. We will be back.

About the host
Hosted by Roger & Kate Lemire
We are Roger & Kate Lemire and always loved to come up to Pittsburg, NH to camp, hunt, fish, snowmobile, hike, and go boating on the numerous mountain lakes and ponds. In 2000 we purchased a 2.5 acre parcel of land at the end of a ridge top private road. Back then the road to the land was a gated 4 wheel-drive one lane road. We camped out on the land the first season while working to clear a building site for a cabin we planned to build and maybe some day retire to. We would come up from Bow, NH every weekend to work the land. Roger pre-cut the frame to the original cabin at his workshop in Bow, NH and transported the lumber up to Pittsburg, NH on a trailer and then assembled the cabin. Our weekend treks to Pittsburg began to increase to include Thursdays....and then Mondays..and before we knew it we were spending more time in Pittsburg than we were at home in Bow....so we decided to sell the Bow property and make the move. 13 years later we have a greatly improved road, 12 acres of land, 2 rental cabins, and our new main lodge. We are always available to our guests to offer tips on places to fish, hunt, or snowmobile or to help with any questions or issues that may arise.
Why they chose this property
We chose this parcel of land having looked at many others because of it's location. Right off Hill Road....just a little over a mile to Young's Store....yet such a private setting a lot of local folks didn't even know where it was.
What makes this property unique
The private setting is what makes this property unique. At the end of a private road surrounded by the great north woods....no through traffic....lot's of wildlife sightings....quiet....peaceful....sunny.....
