Sizzlin' Sands offers views of both the ocean and the Wright Brother National Monument. Relax on the covered porches and sun decks or shoot a game of pool in the spacious game room. An open floor plan provides ample room for great family gatherings. All rooms have ceiling fans. The king master bedroom has two large closets, a desk, a master bathroom and sliding glass doors opening onto the upper deck. Two queen bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The bunk room has two sets of bunk beds. There is a second family room with a pull-down Murphy bed. Sizzlin' Sands has wireless internet connectivity, flat screen TVs and Blu-ray DVD players. The beach is only 1000 feet away and this house is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills with many of dining and entertainment options only minutes away. There is a washer and dryer,outdoor grill, and tables, chairs and loungers around the pool. A great place to gather and enjoy your vacation!

Great OBX Vacation

We had a great vacation. The house had plenty of room and we really enjoyed our pool time. The house is in a great location. It’s a quick walk to the beach. Plenty of activities within a few minutes drive.

Fun beach house close to the beach and a lot of things to do

The property was great and we had a fun family vacation. Just a short walk to the beach and the beach access seemed to be at a Less crowded spot of the beach which was nice. Was fun hanging by the pool in the afternoon and property also had a pool table to use. The property was within a 5 -10 minute drive of a lot of things to do and a lot of different restaurants and a few breweries. Great location. Overall a great property for a week at the outer banks with friends or family.

Relaxing Family Vacation

This was one of the most relaxing vacations my family has had in a long time. The house was very clean and spacious for our 9 family members 7 Adults and 2 kids. It’s in a great area quiet but still surrounded by things to do. A very short walk to the beach and a very nice private pool. My family and I enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend staying here. We will be back in the near future.

We had an amazing family vacation! The house is spacious and beautiful! We played pool every night! But the star of the show is all the decks to watch the sunrises and sets! And that pool!hope your lucky and get to meet the pool girl! Super at giving info on where to eat and go!We spent a lot of time all around the pool when we weren’t at the ocean! Super easy to walk to! Go crabbing at night! Jockey park is a must see! We flew kites and went hang gliding! Turtle hospital is cool too! Fresh seafood market close! Thanks so much! It was great! You do however need your own wagon and beach chairs!and cooler!

Nice, But

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property... plenty of space for everyone! The amenities were a definite plus for us. We did need to purchase a pool ball rack for the billiard table, which was missing😔 Overall the cleaning of the home could be stepped up a bit, especially in the kitchen area. Also a Keurig coffee maker would be a nice second option. There were a few safety concerns such as loose and missing railings and the pool ladder was loose as well. I also noticed what was definitely slobber on some of the living room pillows... new pillows or washable pillow covers are recommended. We would possibly consider booking this property in the future, we'll see.

Sizzlin Spot in Kitty Hawk

This was out third year vacationing at this home and it is absolutley beautiful. Unfortunatly, due to my husbands health, we will be moving on to a house that has an elevator to make it easier for him to get around. I would highly reccomend this home. Very clean, beautiful, has everything you could possible need. Pool is a plus for our family. It is always great to come back to the pool after a long day at the beach. I hope the future families that rent this property enjoy it as much as our family has.

Summer Vacation

It was a very well kept and fun house to stay at with my family and friends. Everyone enjoyed their time and enjoyed the experience the house offered. The beach was a easy walk away and the pool and entertainment area was fun for everyone.

A week at the beach

The location is a short 1 1/2 blocks to the beach. Overall the house fit our family of 5 Adults and 3 grandkids well. On arrival a lot of hair was on the shower wall of the master bathroom. Shoes and 2 pair of underwear were left in the dresser drawer. The dishwasher still had several dirty dishes. Only the TV in the upstairs living room worked. The owner did authorize us to buy a Ruko stick for another TV. Overall we did enjoy our stay. The location is a plus.

Beach house

Overall the place was nice. The master bathroom didn’t smell clean when we first walked in. I had to run hot water it in for a bit to get out the weird odor. There was a bag of dirty blankets left in the corner of the flamingo room when we first walked in and dirty dishes still in the skin from the other people who were renting. If you want to watch TV, the bedroom TVs only allow usage for DVDs so make sure to bring some.

Mother and siblings mother's day getaway wknd

My family and I enjoyed our stay the house was truly nice and beautiful. We were able to check some sunlight to get n the pool and have a pool party. We arrived a little early and Janet gave us the green light to check in. My mom who is up in the age group 75+ enjoyed herself the most which made the whole stay even better. I will definitely pick this place again.

Quiet Getaway

Location is great! A little further from the beach than expected but still a short walk. So much space, tv's in almost every room, good size main floor, decks all the way around, basketball hoop in the driveway, pool table on the bottom floor, clean house, and great neighborhood. Would have preferred to not need to read through the "fine print" to learn that you are required to bring your own linens, towels, paper products, etc. Overall, great stay, very friendly owner who was easily accessible, and beautiful home.

Girls Get-away

We all enjoyed our get-away. The beautiful home accommodated us 4 perfectly! We all had our own space plus a large area to be together! All of the decks were great! The pool looked nice, but in October it was a little too cool to use. The owners were very easy to communicate with before & during our stay. We all got our exercise on the stairs, so I wouldn't recommend this home if you can't handle 2 flights.

Great vacation house

2021 Family Beach Vacation

Arrived at house slightly early and noticed something wrong with Pool, called the owners and they responded promptly and the issues was resolved very quickly and the follow up a few days later greatly appreciated. Loved the location, easy walk to beach. The home is equipped with everything you need- even a baby gate was found for our 1yr old granddaughter. Only suggestion would be to get a bigger grill. The charcoal grill is small and not covered and when it rained, which it did a lot that week it was hard to grill. Played many a card game outside at night by pool! Many memories created- would book again!!!

Perfect family vacation home

This home is conveniently located for beach days and adventure days. It provides a terrific layout for our 3 family units. All ages loved their rooms and enjoyed the scenic third floor living area plus kitchen. Well equipped home, great pool, and responsive owner.

Family beach vacation

We had an amazing stay at this property. The house was just as described. A very short walk to the beach and great access to activities around. The grocery store was also very close which was a huge plus. The pool was a great feature with the kids. Wonderful place we had a amazing time.

We love the Outer Banks! Our family has been vacationing here for over 30 years. Now that our children have grown and have their own families, we still try to vacation here at least one week in the summer. We walk, bike, jeep ride on the beach and play games in the street! We look forward to sharing our little paradise with you!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this big white house one day when we were walking by. We had been vacationing around the corner for years. The proximity to the beach, the decks, the pool and the perfect location sold us!

What makes this property unique

We love hanging out on the porch in the morning with coffee, watching the sun rise over the ocean. There is a general store a block away that has everything, food, sandwiches, wine, flip flops, sunglasses, ice and gas!
