It was a short stay but good! We enjoyed the views of the backyard in the hot tub and had dinner at Pappy and Harriet’s just up the road in pioneer town. Then on our way out we found aCafe called the Frontier cafe just up the street great for coffee and breakfast sandwiches! We weee all pleased!
Literally Our Favorite VRBO Stay Ever. Didn’t Want to Leave.
My husband and I flew west on a whim to take in the desert vibes, climb some rocks and go to the music festival.
This house was everything we could’ve ever wanted.
- it is decorated so perfectly, fresh art-deco, midcentury, complete with local books like “Desert Oracle.” (I need my own copy). The color scheme is so well done!! Lots of large windows with the most incredible views in every direction. We didn’t go out one night, choosing to enjoy our VRBO surroundings instead.
- hammocks for dark night stargazing
- a hot tub where you can watch the Joshua trees sway in the breeze under the moonlight.
- well equipped kitchen
-very comfy queen bed (we opened the windows at night to listen to the breeze and awaken with the sunrise.)
- Also, there’s this super cool window in the roof that looks right up at the stars.
- cool accents like a telescope, turntable with album collection, LCD projector and fun, funky lighting.
- the dirt roads around the house are good for an early morning, coffee, sunrise walk.
- we made friends with the German Shepherd neighbor who stopped to say a quick hello
- good hot water in the bathroom
- Aaron the host, was very nice and responded to my message quickly.
One little thing to be aware of….
there are low steps in and out of two of the rooms where you can stub a toe if not careful. The steps are marked with colored tape. Not a big deal.
In closing, I hope to rent this house for many more stays. We loved it!
Absolutely loved this spot! The pictures don't do it justice. The home is adorable and beautifully decorated. The bed and the pull out couch were comfy. Absolutely loved the jacuzzi under the Stars. We will absolutely come back again.
