Nestled in the very heart of Government Camp, this Collins Lake Resort townhouse boasts incredible year-round access to outdoor adventures on Mt. Hood. Skier or snowboarder, hiker or mountain biker, you'll be greeted back at home each day by fantastic resort amenities, including a heated outdoor pool, two hot tubs, and a sauna.

Collins Lake Resort boasts an unbeatable location, right on the banks of Camp Creek in the bustling alpine town of Government Camp. You'll have access to transportation to Timberline Lodge, just six miles up the mountain with a small fee. An assortment of restaurants and shops, Mt. Hood Skibowl (half a mile), the Mirror Lake Trailhead (one mile), Trillium Lake (four miles), and Mt. Hood Meadows (11 miles) are all within minutes as well.

Begin summer days outside on the balcony, where you can sip your morning coffee up among the evergreen treetops. In the peak of winter, grab a warm pair of socks from the washer/dryer and head out the door to be among the first on the slopes.

After a day of adventure, the main living area is an open and relaxing space to hang out. Get started on dinner using stainless steel kitchen appliances or the gas grill on the deck, choose a favorite board game to set up at the dining room table, and stream movies late into the night in the warmth of the gas fireplace. The bedrooms - both upstairs - are joined by a cozy sleeping nook for additional space.

Good location, lacking some basic necessities
Overall, this place was decent. The good...Location is walkable but a bit far to downtown Government Camp depending on how far you're willing to walk. There is a garage and they frequently plow the streets by the condo so driving isn't an issue. Plus, there are little trails around so it is a fun place to explore. In addition, the heated pool is large and there are two hot tubs along with a small sauna, plus an indoor clubhouse if you don't want to walk around in a robe in the snow. The condo has a very comfortable couch and the beds in the loft are full-size. The living room is comfortable with tons of space and a fireplace/central heating that works well. We also got a text that we could have early check-in without asking. The bad...The stairs are VERY steep. The pillows are either very hard or very soft, and the beds are mediocre (even according to an 11 year old). The dryer was broken which wasn't the greatest when we needed to dry our wet clothes in a pinch. But I'd say the most glaring thing is that there are no pots/pans in the kitchen which makes it pretty difficult to make any type of meal. It worked for us and I might book again as long as I knew these things before going.

Great home, in the heart of Government camp. Near ski bowl. Winter family fun!
We enjoyed our stay very much. We were there during a major power outage and snow storm. We stayed warm and cozy, but did not have any lights available to us. We needed to drive to Sandy to the nearest open store to purchase flashlights.
