Relax. Refresh. Reconnect ~~
We welcome you to Clover's Cottage, where you can relax, refresh, and reconnect with those you love. Located on more than four quiet acres in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Clover's Cottage is available to rent – for two nights or many nights – you decide how much peaceful respite you seek.
1st Floor -
Clover’s Cottage was converted from an old flax mill built sometime around 1887 and sits along a stream and pond. The first floor boasts a cozy and well-equipped eat-in kitchen, a laundry room, and a convenient half-bathroom. There is also a comfortable and rustic living room with a wood fireplace built from old reclaimed schoolhouse bricks. Because of its origin, the first floor is built from local field stones and has 18' thick walls (no need for air conditioning!) and a counter made from a huge cast metal slab from the original flax grinding equipment.
2nd Floor -
The second floor opens to a small sitting room surrounded by three bedrooms. Each room is decorated in warm earthy tones and local antiques that evoke country charm and a restful atmosphere.
The sitting room has original wide plank floors and is a great place to sit and enjoy a book or and opens to an expansive deck that overlooks the stocked pond. The deck is an expansive 10' X 36' and includes seating and a small bar.
The luxurious and spacious Jack-and-Jill bathroom is nestled BETWEEN two bedrooms, a layout typical of homes of this age (Note that you must go through a bedroom to enter the bathroom). It evokes a feeling of a country spa, with a beautifully restored claw foot soaking tub that allows for complete relaxation. There is also a walk-in shower large enough for two, with a bench and rain shower head. A towel warmer awaits you after bathing, providing the best of modern-day comforts with timeless rustic treasures.
The large primary bedroom offers a queen bed, dresser, closet, and a day bed that can be utilized for lounging or sleeping. A large table at one end of the room allows you to enjoy card games, crafts, or conversation with family and friends. An exterior bedroom door leads to the deck..
The second bedroom has a double bed with a dresser, nightstand, and original wide plank floors. This room also has a closet and an entrance to the bathroom.
The third bedroom has a set of bunk beds with twin mattresses, a dresser, entrance to the bathroom, and original wide plank floors.

Some important policies and information for our guests:
PROPERTY DAMAGE WAIVER - When you book a stay with us, you are automatically covered by up to $250 in accidental property damage. It is a waiver that we include in the cost of every reservation. Please read the rental agreement carefully to understand how our Property Damage Waiver and Refundable Security Deposit can provide peace of mind.
TRAVELER'S INSURANCE: As we always remind our guests, if you haven't chosen to do so, please consider purchasing traveler's insurance. We would not want you to lose out on your vacation costs due to unforeseen circumstances. Make sure your policy covers you for the issues that concern you the most (You can purchase traveler's insurance from many locations. It is not required to be purchased through this site).
MAINTENANCE - Occasionally, regular maintenance such as lawn mowing, trash day (Tuesdays) or unexpected repairs need to be completed during a guest's stay. While we try to perform all work when no guests are onsite, it is sometimes necessary when there are back-to-back reservations, previously scheduled work, or weather that prevents work at another time. We will always let guests know when this is required and will do our best to not be disruptive.
