About this property
Artsy Victorian Gothic Cottage
Revel in serenity at our lovely and artistic Victorian home in gorgeous upstate NY. (15 mins to Bennington College, VT, 25 mins to Williams College, MA), basking in natural beauty, and small town charm.
Walk to the beautiful riverwalk as well as shops of downtown and country club/golf course. Ski resorts from 30 minutes away!
A rustic country home, and a perfect and peaceful retreat full of eclectic charm and old architecture. Don't miss this relaxing retreat immersed in beauty!
Welcome to our Victorian Gothic cottage. We hope you love it as much as we do! Thank you for choosing our place for your travels. Please read through the entire description to ensure our unique place full of charm is right for you!
Our home is perfect for those who appreciate whimsical artistic spaces. Enjoy a book in one of the reading nooks, stargaze and bathe in the moonlight from the back porch, make s'mores at the fire pit, play a ditty on the piano, or use our easel to get in touch with your inner artist.
While professional cleaning happens between each stay, and we are fully stocked with a full kitchen, laundry as well as blankets, linens, towels, etc. our home is not a perfect fit for someone who prefers a spotless, cookie-cutter, hotel-like experience. This house was built in 1849, and while it has all of the comforts of home there are still some superficial aesthetic finishes we are working on. (for example, some cosmetic ceiling work, and some areas need updated painting.)
Our house has loads of space! Two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, two living rooms, an eat-in kitchen, and a ½ bath with a washer and dryer downstairs. A lovely back porch, and private parking in the driveway.
Please note, the house is 2 stories with stairs and there are 3 stairs on the back porch for entry. The house is not child-proof. We have children and we allow children, but please use your discretion as it is not a child-proof space.
No parties, events or film/photo shoots without written permission in advance.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house including the front yard and fenced in back yard.
