A complete downstairs area that's mostly your own,(we use the Swimspa for exercise once in the early morning) with 1 or 2 bedrooms available. Bedroom # 1 has its own private bathroom, while the other bedroom uses a hallway bath that's still all your own. Both bedrooms have a double size bed which can sleep 2, so a total of 4 all together. All with their own bath towels and bed linens. Each bedroom has its own TV along with Netflix and all that good stuff available via free Wi-Fi. Also available is a Swimspa for exercise or relaxing along with a sauna anytime you want to. Living area is also available with couches and TV that's right next to the full Kitchen, minus an oven but does have a convection microwave and Keurig for that morning coffee. 3 places to park that's free along with front door entrance or the side garage service door. Our place is a quiet residential area with pretty views of woodlands in the backyard. If there's anything you need just ask.

We did not realize our stay would be along with the host in their home. While they are very nice people, privacy was lacking. Entry to the VRBO was in the back yard....no sidewalk. There isn't really a kitchen, it's more like a wet bar.
We accomplished our goal of seeing lotsa family. The VRBO was in the area that best suited seeing everyone.
The property was clean and a nice place to stay at night. We weren't there much, but overall it was a good stay. I would give 5 stars, but the description was misleading. It said we had the entire house, and with being on Vrbo, where listings are private, I didn't look more into the listing and booked. We had the whole basement to ourselves, but there was no private entrance for us to get down there. We never saw the hosts though. Overall if you need a place to stay at night, I would recommend it! The hosts were very kind while we were communicating.

Came into town for Irishfest, host showed me around the property and was very responsive to messages. Had plenty of room, everything was clean and well stocked.
We stayed for 3 days over the 4th of July weekend and had a great time. We had the whole basement to ourselves and were very comfortable. The hosts were kind and helpful anytime we had questions. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a clean & comfortable place to stay in the La Crosse area.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
My family and I stayed here for 4 nights while I shot in the WAMO state dart tournament and I have nothing negative to say. The owners of the home were nothing but pleasant and when a problem arose they were so fast to fix it! The whole basement level is used for the stay and it’s very spacious and home-like. The house itself is absolutely beautiful as well with the neighborhood. There was a park just down the road and overall only a 15 minute drive from most everything. I definitely would recommend!
This was a beautifully decorated home with a scenic backyard bordering on a sledding hill and wooded area. However, there was no private entrance. One needed to walk through the owners' front door to enter. It was listed as "having the whole place to yourself," but there was no door or any separation from the family upstairs, with them coming into our space several times to use the Swimspa. They were great people, although I felt the description of the privacy was misleading.

About the host
Hosted by Michael Walz
Come stay the night at this Homey Place to Be. We give discounts on extended stays, stay up to a year if necessary. The downstairs (1500 sq. ft.) to our house is yours, we use the Swimspa a couple times a day for exercise but you' will never see us, (we use the back entrance) as we (the 2 of us) do live on the main floor. If there's something you need just ask, we want you to feel at home when you are here. We (Michael & Colleen) enjoy meeting new people as our guest but also respect your privacy. Our children have all graduated and all are away at College enjoying their new adventures, so the downstairs is quite, quite spacious for you to enjoy. Give us a try and hope to hear from you. Thank you, Michael & Colleen.
