Filthy upon arrival
The property is poorly landscaped and is clearly the black sheep of the neighborhood. Upon arrival, the code to retrieve the key did not work. We contacted the property manager who told us a key would be delivered but not for a few hours 2 1/2 to be exact. He also informed us that the property was not likely cleaned after the previous guests left. That was an understatement. Upon entering the premises we found all the rooms to be unclean, floors dirty, dust hanging from ceiling fans, air intake vents clogged with dust. unwashed dishes in the dishwasher, dirty refrigerator, carpets, sofas and chairs. We were originally told that a cleaning crew would arrive but the property owner declined to provide cleaning services that evening and told the property manager that "we could leave", which I did contemplate were it not for the fact that we were there for a wedding. I would have left and immediately contact my attorney. A cleaning crew did arrive at approximately 6:30 p.m. and did a fantastic job. Her name was Theresa and she and her crew were great. I would like to add that the property manager Steve Smith who we dealt with, did his best to make things right and he should be commended. Unfortunately he is not on sight which limited his effectiveness and he also had an owner that I really have nothing good to say about. These owners should not be in your system and you need to do better due diligence is screening them. Would not use or recommend Vrbo to others.
