Roomy and comfortable

We enjoyed staying here. It has so much room, but felt cozy also. We saw deer, and even a fox. Swimming off the dock was fun, and a huge yard to enjoy. The subdivision is gated, so bicycling was safe and enjoyable. We will definitely rent again

Perfect Lake Getaway with All Comforts of Home

We’ve been renting properties on Lake Travis for years, but this is the first one that we felt “at home” in ... the view is amazing and the home has everything you would need! My kids were big fans of the fox and deer friends that came around a few times every day.

Relaxing and fun

We had a family ranging in age from 8 to 50. There was something for all of us to do. Every little detail was taken care of. Clean, comfortable, and felt like home. The kayaks and canoe were the favorites. With this dock it was soo easy to get in and out if the boats. So wonderful. Would for sure come back again!

Relaxing family retreat

The home was well set up and accommodated our party of 12 comfortably. The home was clean and everything we needed was supplied. We stopped at the grocery on our way in. The lake and view from the backyard porch were AMAZING. The water was surprisingly warm and the kids and adults both had a blast using the kayaks and paddle boards. We also used the community swimming pool and made s’mores with the kids on the fire pit. We checked out a few local attractions such as the wineries, bbq, swimming holes, etc. We stayed a week and that was a perfect balance of relaxation and exploring. The owner was immediately responsive to all needs and questions. Would definitely recommend this home!

Lovely spacious home with great views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The home had plenty of room to spread out but also great gathering places. It's not a new home and some finishes and such were worn but clean and comfortable. We rented during pandemic and had 4 adults working remotely and had no issues with the internet. The home is perched high up on the cliff which provides superior views of the sunset each night. You should know that it is a steep climb to reach the dock and you need to have at least a basic level of fitness to do the trek. There is a stretch of stairs that does not have a railing and I would be concerned with small children or elderly. We had many visits from the fox and deer. The beds were soft but comfortable, showers worked well, and the kitchen was well appointed with lots of spices and supplies. HEB grocery store is about 30 minutes away. Community pool is only 5 minute walk from property and tennis courts are 4 minute drive. Antoine was easy to work with and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Awesome house with a great view

The house is further up the river which is great if you want calmer waters. We were able to wake surf right off the dock and head down river, the went bowfishing up river with a great yield. Like the other comments there is quite a climb but we didn't mind as we only walked down in the morning to go out on the lake and again in the evening. There is a ramp so a wagon would be very useful getting icechests up and down the slope. We were worried that because the lake was really low that we would have to watch out for the prop hitting the bottom but the bank is steep enough that that was never an issue. Great open concept house with plenty of sleeping space perfect for large groups.

Beatifull Location and Privecy at its best

The property is well located on top of the hill with full 360 deg view of the lake. We got to enjoy seeing some wild life during the day, the fox and deer's were regular visitors and quite friendly. The house was well maintained and extra rooms for a big family. The instructions provided by the property owner was quite handy and overall the stay was well worth the visit. Looking forward to visiting again.

Excellent stay

We had an excellent stay her. The location is beautiful and the view incredible. There is very easy access to the lake and the location is very quiet and peaceful. The property was very clean and in great condition, and the owners provide great customer service. I would certainly recommend staying there for a wonderful lake / hill country experience.

Born and raised in France, I moved to UT for 2 years in a university exchange program. Loved Austin and all the various state parks around. Moved back to Europe and made it back to Texas 3 years later. Houston suburb is quite different from Austin... Once the family started growing, we looked for a getaway place for the family to enjoy and found that wonderful place!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property when we first visited it in 2008. It was then removed from market, but owners put it back for sale in 2013. We did not let this opportunity go...
There was not much water back then, peak of the drought, a small river, but we loved it: view, nature, quiet. Foxes were out in the garden when we visited in 2013, and we have since then seen a few generations growing. The lake level came back in 2015, and we enjoyed the lake activities the property offers: dock, swimming boating, paddle boards, etc...

What makes this property unique

Outstanding views of the water and the hills.
Walk down to the private boat dock for swimming/fishing. Kayaks, paddle boards and canoe provided.
Possibility to dock your boat (shall be discussed prior to booking).
Quiet and relaxing. Lots of wildlife all around, day and night.
Nice walks through neighborhood and parks. Gated community. A few bikes are provided to guests (but guests should bring their own)
On lake travis. Proximity to swimming holes (Krause Springs is less than 10 minutes; Hamilton Pool is 1hr), rivers, parks (adjacent to Muleshoe Bend Park for Mountain Biking).
45 minutes from downtown Austin and 1hr from Fredericksburg.
