About this property

Chameleon Suite Ocean Views Kitchen Volcano NP

About this space
See our 5 star reviews! Looking for a unique stay w Ocean Views, cool nights, beautiful sunsets, & Chameleons? We are centrally located between Hilo & Kona 50 minutes from the Volcano. Perfect for exploring the South End of the Island. Chameleon Suite is located on our small 1 Acre Farm & named after the many Jackson Chameleons that live here. Sleeps 4 w 500sq ft, private Lanai w ocean view, 2 comfortable Qn beds in the bedroom & Qn sofa sleeper in Living Room, fully stocked outdoor kitchen.
The space
The chameleon suite is set up like an apartment below the main house and very private with private entrance through 2 sliding glass doors, front door and gate to large private lanai with amazing local and ocean views, large bedroom with 2 queen beds (one is a sleep number the other is a very comfortable standard mattress), workspace/desk, smart tv, full bathroom, and an additional large tiled outdoor shower for after those beach days. There is a spacious living room with couch/hide-a-bed, 2 chairs, 50" smart tv, along with a dining area, full size fridge, french press AND drip coffee maker, microwave inside and a covered outdoor kitchen with range, pots/pans, bakeware, all silverware, wine glasses etc. and a propane barbecue all right off your lanai. The suite is on our small one acre Chameleon Farms where we grow sugarloaf white pineapple, dragon fruit, Macadamia Nuts, and more. The Chameleon Suite is located right next to the apple banana garden. Many Jackson chameleons live on the property. At night, you will see the farm light up with solar tiki torches, pineapple lights, and other solar landscape lighting. We strive for sustainability - we are a solar powered small farm with lithium battery back up and grid back up, we provide compost and recycle bins, we are on rain catchment water with multi-stage filtration including uv, we make compost teas to feed our plants, and love spending time on the farm. We look forward to welcoming you with Aloha to our little slice of paradise.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the suite, the private lanai with ocean views through the Ohia forest, laundry area (10-2pm), parking, and various parts of the front of the property to explore. We provide our guests with expert local advice, beach chairs, cooler, some snorkel equipment, well stocked kitchen, etc. See our 5 star reviews.
Other things to note
Your host is also a travel agent and a long time resident. We will provide you with expert local knowledge, very nice suggested day trips all over the island, best places to eat, best snorkeling, etc (of course at no charge to our guests). We can also help you book and recommend the best excursions, luaus, live music, farmers markets, etc. We look forward to your stay.
